ones i'm looking at - and the very thinly managed reason(s) behind why i like what i do
any info pertaining to game, or insights into having watched teams, opinion where they might be (or opponents) totally welcomed
looking to get a discussion and weed out lesser plays
texas a&m -14 arkansas
i havent actually seen a&m yet - i did watch the new qb warmup (manzelli?) in game for fla - and to be honest, kid looked well put together - head on shoulders, mechanics, etc. and tamu looked to have lead for most of game - to point i was surprised in finding out fla ended up winning (a fla team that looks to be decent competition soo far)
arkansas on the other hand - as integral as their qb is - his whole demanor didnt look to be on same page, having team behind him, in game vs rutgers. their rb (knile davis) looked avg. as backup had more pep to step, cuts. ark DID stop rutgers running attack, though in doing so made thair above avg qb look joey harrington like (circa oregon, not det). guys were wide open by 10 yds on some plays, and others (give credit) nicely placed passes. the run was totally taken away, impressively so, though maybe at the expense of pass defense?
i would imagine tamu would wnat to make noise being an sec game. not sure what they have for team makeup on either side, though mainly going off of reading stats - basing that way. thiing that scares me most is ark hasnt come close to covering a line yet (0-4) -and not sure what their D will look like vs (unknown to me) aggie offense
ohio -24 at umass
umass actually cover against miami, oh LW
umass' qb never really connected well with most any wr - though did have chances to get ball moved - and rb cox looked good vs miami D late (garbage yds?) -made tacklers miss, which as whole looked to be where redhawks heads were at, disinterested in getting atop number and staying there. ohio i know has tettleton, though in reading yyz's injury post, see is listed as questionable? with side. if he is a no go, i wouldnt even consider this, though if played, i know at very least the offense would pick up on his intensity --hard nosed player he looks to be. i would side with ohio here and hope dont get put to sleep and backdoored late
ucla -21 at colorado
colorado has looks of team being lost- though player better lats week. ucla on other hand ran into first blemish - though looks to be a solid squad -from looks of it. if they get up, would imagine game get outta hand quickly, taking worry of covering 3 tds out of equation
ga -14 v tenn
tenn killed me not being able to put akron away. i thought might be a good spot for tenn off to click on all cylinders and have bray look really good (based on hearing akron was supposedly horrible) --pick 6 for starters never allowed tenn to even sniff cover, nevermind being tied very late, and forced to keep taking fg's. if not for big plays, volunteers seemed couldnt engineer solid drive.
az state +3 cal
all i know is az st looks to have a solid defensive team (reading between stats more than anything) and cal was able to find a rb against ohio st (an oh st that hasnt really played to level everyone thought would/should -to this point)
opinions, thoughts welcome
looking to start dialogue on these games for now, more later. appreciated -t
