They played good Rich will do fine there what people don't understand Rich came in for Don who was there 20 years and was into big power football huge lines on both sides of the ball and would pound you with the 2 man back field and has very good throwing qb, oliver luck, major harris, jeff hostler so they could stretch the field and on deff they were big and strong had d.talley as a lin backer brian joeziack who plade for kc, tom pridemore who had a long run with falcons. But when Rich came in everything was changed on off and deff went to speed and a 3-4 on deff that takes speed , it was a whole total make over and in 3-4 years Rich will have his players in that will fit his system and they will win year in and year out is is a good system has worked everywhere he has ran it and it is his system he started it at glenville st and took it to tulan with king as he qb and then to clemson who did fine why he was there. he started this system that many have started to use and copy but he is a master of it and he will get the players to come in because it is fun to play under and it is proven. you cannot break a team all the way down to 0 and start from scratch on both sides of they ball and expect them to win for at least 4 years.
one it is very complex on both sides of the ball and 2 you have to be very smart to play in it and must be not just fast and in unreal shape but strong. he wanted to do things his way not follow Don and when he gets 3-4 years of his type of player in they will be tuff each year he still has lot of Dons playes there who had to learn a whole new thing and drop weight and gain speed. they will be just fine and are on track it takes a good year to even learn all the plays so it will take time and a player must come in be redshirted and learn system because there is no other team that has a s many different formations as this system has and can check off 2-3 times off of each set so very hard to learn and takes the right people to run it, 2 more years and they will be there i wrote this same thing on this site when hegot the job that they would have ups and downs for 4 years only some many people you can have on a team and if you were on scholership before he came in you cannot take it away from a kid it is against the rules so he has only been able to get abot 20 guys in his first 2 years both years this year they have a lot of early guys signed that will really do well in this system and next year at the end and he signs his guys he will be up to 60-65 of his players that fit the system and then they will roll, trust me wvu did not give Rich a 7 year 6 million+contract ext. if they did not know it would work and it will you will see just takes time when you are starting at 0 from both sides of the ball,they are picking it up well as good as you can expect he and team will be just fine it is all about time.
i would like to see them win every game but i knew it would be a long 3-4 years with ups and downs then be fine after that.
