Anyone know what happened to Bud Smith? Did he just not have it yesterday? Had the Cards keyed with NYY and the LA/SD OVER yesterday. Nice ticket up in smoke

Saw part of the game (as much as I could watch, given I was on the Cards as well) -- Smith had nothing, and the Cards blew some early opportunities (1st and 2nd, no outs in the 1st ended up in a strike out - throw out DP; they left 2 on in both the 2nd and 3rd; then Smith was just flat-out bad).
I had St. Louis in 3 parlays with Seattle Oakland & Arizona. Smith had nothing, and St. Louis did leave runners as mentioned earlier. But the real problem was Smith & Matthews leaving pitches for Sexton to hit right over the plate. This guy is the classic streak hitter, he is hot as Hell now, and is Milwaukee ONLY OFFENSIVE THREAT! he should be pitched to more carefully than bonds, because he is the only threat on that team offensively. The guy has a 5 ft. strike zone, I don't see how you can leave pitches right in his hot zone, especially when you need that game the way St. Louis did.

Going w/ya Flecth....I think we had this conversation 1 month ago as to saying St.Louis will win the division....Goin w/the Hotter hitting team in this one...Hou is down and panicing....they R not playing good baseball....really shows in their judgements...call me tonight
Skeeter, just an FYI, these were last nights plays. Not sure what Fletcher is on tonight. I do like Stl though.
