Well one thing that helps their pitchers is they come from for the most part from Colorado Springs which is a huge hitters park also so they are not as intimidated. As for the hitters, I am still amazed that baseball teams don't get it. Plate discipline Mr O'Dowd. Guys like Petrick, Uribe, Pierre need to starting taking ball four a little more often. That way even if they hit .240 on a roadtrip they can still get enough guys on base. Their pitching is good enough, the hitting is nowhere near good enough. They only have 2 average to above average hitters on the team. Larry Walker and Todd Helton. Instead of signing FA pitchers, sign some damn stud hitters.

I thought Hampton's comment was interesting how he feels like he played in a football game after pitching a game there. So it could be that a longer recovery period is necessary after playing at Coors. Toss in the fact that breaking balls just don't break and you'd have to be crazy to want to pitch there. Jason Jennings should run away with the Rookie of the Year considering what he's accomplished there.
