nice post turfgrass, but what the hell is going on with Dairy products? I went to the store today and it seems like milk and ice cream have doubled in price in the past few months

Dairy Farmers reacted to low demand for milk which lower prices and higher demand for beef ( Atkins, low carb diet faze) and decided they could make more money by sending cattle to slaughterhouse then by milking them.

Dairy farmers took a beating here in NY last few years and are making some of those losses back.

Read somewhere that avg. American eats twice as much red meat now as compared to 30 years ago. hard to believe.

Just got back from trip to parents house in Missouri. Highest I paid forgas was1.65 and cheapest 1.51 One amusing thing was this guy at quick shop bitching about price of gas as he was checking out but said nothing bout the 1.19 he was paying for bottled water.

I don't like the fact that Exxon had record profits last year-would point to something amiss---and I might have to give the liberals a slight nod on conservatives alliance with oil companys

but on flip side I had to laugh a little when viewing Kerry's speech a couple days ago in San Fran on his views of lowering gas prices--- seemed ironic from man who voted to increase taxes on gas 11 times including a 50 cent tax that was axed by the conservative body.:)

hard to distinguish the worser of evils-------

These Kerry votes seem to be In a political add. But there is no record or fact that comes with them. It is true he did vote against one that has so much pork in it that had noting to help our problem that it should have been voted against.
Like our highway act there voteing on now. It is to help take care of our roads and bridges. Chit they have so much junk in that bill that does nothing for either. Bush said he will veto it. I say he hasn't got tha balls to do it. Remember it came from his controlled congress.
