You have good point on spending DJV--and I am not any happier than you about it. The best scenerio on fiscal responsibilty is to have pres from one pary and congess majority of the other party.

Perfect example was the rebs contract with America prior to Clintons 2nd term---

FIRST, require all laws that apply to the rest of the country also apply equally to the Congress;
SECOND, select a major, independent auditing firm to conduct a comprehensive audit of Congress for waste, fraud or abuse;
THIRD, cut the number of House committees, and cut committee staff by one-third;
FOURTH, limit the terms of all committee chairs;
FIFTH, ban the casting of proxy votes in committee;
SIXTH, require committee meetings to be open to the public;
SEVENTH, require a three-fifths majority vote to pass a tax increase;
EIGHTH, guarantee an honest accounting of our Federal Budget by implementing zero base-line budgeting.

I think it would be good time for Dems to remind them of these guidelines--what do you think???????

And each state can use one less congressman. And they all can have Benni's like most Americans. They can pay there fair share no this free stuff that we pay for them from our taxes.
A more balanced budget as much as that would hurt is needed.
Or you have to take back some of the tax break to pay for there spending. They keep going as they are we could see the return of 7 to 8% interest rates in our future soon. And that is a big tax on us all.

Bush is a Neocon. He conned a lot of Republicans into thinking he was a Republican and a Conservative. I hope it is not too late when they wake up.

So shall we start a new party fellow Centralarians? What shall be our platform? Life, liberty and the pursuit of not being politically stereotyped? :idea:

I think you got classes mixed up --Middle class is working class--Don't know of but few that bitched about tax cuts--its those millions that paid no taxes that are raping the tax payer--and doing most of squaking and they are NOT middle class.

"Bush is a Neocon. He conned a lot of Republicans into thinking he was a Republican and a Conservative"

80% of us neocons are conservative and about 60% of the centrist if the election resaults tell us anything.

once again neo=new
conservative
Dictionarycon?ser?va?tive (kən-s?r'və-tĭv)
adj.
Favoring traditional views and values; tending to oppose change.
Traditional or restrained in style: a conservative dark suit.
Moderate; cautious: a conservative estimate

60% of what? And we were electing a war time President and he still only got in by the skin of his teeth. You call yourself a conservative? How, open boarders, running a large deficit, reducing states and personal rights? They are the most backwards conservatives I have ever seen.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
skin of his teeth??--if you subtract the democtratic voting block that votes 90% democratic regardless of who runs--there wouldn't be need for election--

Large deficit-- I will agree if you speak of spending on social programs--but budget for 2 wars--rebuilding after 911 are unplanned short term spending thatwas necessary and evidently the majorities of voters agree.

Open borders--don't like it a bit--but shudder at thought what other side would do considering minorities are are there base voting block.

reducing states and personal rights--
What personal rights do you speak of--those of terrorists
I sure can't think of a right I've lost. State rights--being from Mass I assume you consider gay issues states rights--and I think "we the people" spoke on that issue trumping your activist judges.

Do I have to list the rights your ACLU are defending again???
If you haven't figured it out yet you won't.

---and in case your speaking of life support issue on states rights in Fla letme refresh you with a little history when "the other sides" in power ;)

Not to remind you but we are running this deficit while cutting taxes. By the way the tax cuts have not created jobs. Even Greenspan now admits they were a mistake.
Somehow I knew you would bring Clinton into this. Don't you think it is possible not to like Clinton and Bush at the same time?

For me it's easy. They both lack in certain areas. But most do. We wont find a perfect one. But I do get tired of the half truths that we got from Clinton, Nixon and now Bush. Clinton did show the Rich didn't go broke with higher taxes. In fact they did real good. And the economy went wild. And the bills got payed. It was show-en many years ago you cant over cut taxes and balance anything. No matter what excuse you wish to use. And did we really get tax cuts. Many say no. They say Bush just shifted the taxes back to the states and local governments.
As for gas prices. They dont need to be this high here yet. Yes someday there going to stay at 2 bucks or more. But if we do have low inflation as we are told. It should be no higher then $1.60.
