I wouldn't be surprised to see another one of those games where the inferior team comes out and gives the better team all they can handle in the 1h. I also like that the crowd will be with GM. I could be wrong, UCONN may come out and blow them out of the water early but I think heart and emotion will keep GM in it for quite a while, then UCONN pulls away late. Thoughts?

FYI, Dogs in the first day of round #1 were 26-6 ATS in the first half. I did not track it for the balance of the tourney. I think this is less likely to occur as teams get better and deeper in the bracket. However, given this has the feel of a round #1 game I think the points may be a got bet. What line do you have?

I have +5. Think I'll take it. It just seems like lately the better teams have gotten off to slow starts in the tourney. Not a big play, but worth a shot IMO.

Wow. Talk about late money coming in. As I was clicking submit on GM +5 I got the "line has changed" message. It was then +4.5 at -105. I then tried to take that and again got the "line has changed" message. I ended up getting it at +4.5 at -110. Looks like there was some GM love right before tip there.

Imagine that, the one time I bet on a dog in the first half the fave actually decides to show up. And the fave, UCONN, decides to show up in the 1h for the first time ALL tournament. Lovely.

Well I had a chance until GM decided to crap the bed in the last two minutes. I assumed they would do that at the end of the SECOND half, but not the first. Congrats to UCONN for finally deciding to show up... heartless bastards.

I hear ya. Maybe I shouldn't have taken GM since there is such a gap in talent between them and UCONN, but there is absolutely NO WAY that I will bet on UCONN this tournament. You just don't know which team will show up. I think anyone who bets on UCONN has some brass balls... but it obviously paid off today.

Ok, maybe betting on UCONN didn't pay off. I was talking about the first half in my earlier post but I also thought UCONN would cover the 8 for the game. I go out all day and come back to see that they lost outright. Good God, what a sackless team. I can't exactly say I'm real pleased with GM either though. I take GM +4.5 in the fh and they suck it up, then they come out like gangbusters in the 2h and win outright. Way to go a-holes...
