Georgia has faced three stronger teams in first 3 games than the Tigers have. Junior QB, David Greene 139 PA without interception(last int Auburn game 2002), Bulldogs perfect on the road in Mark Richt era when playing a team in there home stadium(9-0). This year, UGa defense first in SEC, and #3 nationally. Opponents this season inside the Red Zone(20 yard line), 6 times, 1 field goal, 3 turnovers, 1 missed field goal, 1 sropped on downs, inside the 10 yard line, 0 points, (1 turnover, 1 stop on downs). Death Valley recently for LSU has not been all that kind to the Tigers in big games, in fact LSU in the past 5 years does much better in meaningful big games away from Baton Rouge, is it the party atmosphere, hoopla, extra attention? I really don't know, but recently, LSU has not come through at home in big games. Georgia's road record is nearly impeccable with the exception of games @ jacksonville against Florida. LSU has looked like an offensive juggenaut so far this season, but in reality they have not faced even an average defense in Arizona, W Illinois and UL-Monroe. They will face an excellent defense on saturday that plays even better away from Athens, when coach Richt has their undivided attention 36 hours prior to game time, and away from distractions of everyday college experience. This should be an excellent game, and Georgia will be out to prove to the nation that their #7 ranking is 5 spots too low. An excellent defense, a qb who takes care of the ball, and a meticulously prepared gameplan by a solid quiet leader in their head coach spells a Bulldog victory.
