Rivera now being escorted back to Kuwait. Seems he repeatedly ignored the rules and gave away operational details to get his viewers the "most accurate information." He was giving away actual locations of fighting and troop movements on TV. Too bad the Iraqis couldnt have used their suicide bombs for good use.

that dummy. He seemed to be doing such a good job of NOT doing that in his Afghanistan coverage too.

Dont feal bad about this guy. I always said he works both sides of the street. Just depends what party is in office. He will ride with them. I can remember how he loved Bush 41. Then he loved Clinton. Then Clinton got his blow job and he was not sure anymore about Clinton. Now he loves Bush 43. And he will love who ever is there next time and the next time. No big loss to Fox.

If this is true (which I'm assuming it is)....it couldnt have happened to a better idiot. I've watched him file reports about how he's spent hours signing autographs for soldiers. That may be true....but only a self-serving a-hole would report about it. He's a worthless arrogant piece of cow dung....and I couldnt be happier that he's gone.

Garden,

I guess that's why I'm so surprised by the whole thing. Pretty much all I watch is FOX.....and heard absolutely nothing about it. Youre right, if they dont report this.....they're not living up to their motto.

I just saw Rivera on tv & he was still with the same outfit inside iraq. He said that he heard the rumors also & denied that he was told to leave the country. he said the network who first started the rumor is pathetic & said that they are flat out lying.

i just saw a report from geraldo

i just saw a report from geraldo

deep inside iraq....apparently this was a ploy by nbc to deflect attention from the arnett debacle....boy,that really is despicable.....i`m not surprised a bit....geraldo said it wasn`t the first time his old employer has attempted to slander him......if he`s still there, and that`s what went down, nbc should catch hell.....

This is just another ploy by the Liberal Democrats to focus the attention off their Libral friend Arnett. It is widely done by NBC, CBS and ABC which are strictly Democratic stations. If you watch NBC, ABC and CBS you will find alot of second guessing of the President. Their positive views of Bush are quick but are quickly followed with a BUT.....FOX News is the best if you want a full coverage non-biased network...Peter Jennings, Dan Rather,& Tom Brokaw will have NO TV time is this house

Buck,

How come you are down on Geraldo?

True his credibility took a big hit with capone's vault, but he has done some good work. I remember, either in late 60's or early 70's, when rivera worked as a reporter for local NY tv station. He did an incredible story where he exposed abuse at a state mental health institution. He showed actual footage of the negligence at this hospital & the pictures were really heartbreaking. This place was shut down because of his report & since then he has my respect.

Well.....what did it for me was Afghanistan....where he reported he was standing in the middle of the war zone.....or something to that effect.....and then got called on the fact that he was miles away from any action whatsoever. That pretty much ruined him in my eyes

Skeeter1 so you want USA to be more like Iraq a Dictatorship. Ok to here what your told and want to here. But no BUTT's. All the people with the butts seem to be retired military men. Most are Genrals. Do you really think any of these networks Fox, CNN, NBC any of them are smart enough to talk about this war. With out these retired folks spelling it out for them. I belive Fox is doing a diserves to the American people by not reporting all the news. You have to take good with bad. Sad part is they. None of them should have this chit all day long. They just repeat them self over and over. We wanted to win the PR war so bad we shot our self in the foot.

DJV -- there is way too much emphasis on the BAD....we are kicking their ass and you would think we are on a funeral march watching the other networks....they make it look like everyone in Iraq hates us being there without telling us all about the coercion....truely a one-sided story....sit there and talk about how we are being delayed, how war is not going as planned (which no war/gameplan/etc. goes EXACTLY as planned) -- and acting like that is a very bad thing -- truth is, is that Iraqi's are confronting us OUTSIDE Baghdad which is a GOOD thing....and we have Baghdad surrounded in 11 days and will go in on OUR time when we want too....and we are most ready too....WE are dictating when we want to do things, WE control what is going on in there and WE are going to win....

liberal press makes it look like we are a fighting force with the likes of the French

Doc I know there is lots of good going on. But when you have the Generals SOME and the Petagon lock horns and or talk in open that were on track but. No not everything is going to plan and yes we are changing the plan and have to as the battel shapes it self. Hey this is there words. It should be reported. And what they really ned bad right now. Is tons of reporting on how those people who are glad to see us. How we are taking care of them.
We get all same chit each channel. Some guy with some unit where we are either sitting there doing nothing. Or a unit blowing something up. Or were told we are realy kicking some ass and many Iraqis are coming over to us. We never see them.
We see these neat pitcures from the Pentagon briefings of are smart bomds blowing the hell out of something. Hey I agree there really something. Wish we had them in Nam. But the Arab world takes all that stuff turns it against us as the killing beast. I can not believe some one at the pentagon has not got smart and said we need diffrant approch. All were helping do with these pitcures is make Americans feal good. But on the downside Arabs recrute another 100 terroest a day with those films. We might even grow another two or three Bin Ladens. We have to be smarter. Smart bombs will not win the part of the war we need to have go our way when the shooting stops. We need all networks to tell that story. Theres nothing wrong in doing that. And it's time the pentagon leadership gets wise to it.

Nicely done Dr, agree 100%....DJV you asked do I think any of these networks are smart enough to report on the war..to hit it on the head, the networks will make a mountain out of a mole hill so you will tune in to them, as if they have the upper hand... So heres my BUT, I refuse to listen to NBC, ABC & CBS (Democratic Stations) where they have 2nd guessed our President and Generals with no proof but their own tales of attempting to make a headline. I dont want opinions from Democrats, anti-protesters at which is all the 3 networks I mentioned are.I want facts and thats what Fox News is giving the people of America. The other stations are giving facts that have been uprised to make it appear their story has more validity due to their opinions and their Democratic counterparts to whom they interview 85% of the time. Hmmm wonder why it always a "D" they interview. I understand many people are gonna have opinions but lets here it from both sides, not just from the Democratic methods of destruction.

of course generals are going to bang heads together....that is a GOOD thing....it shows the administration allows free discourse with EVERYONE involved

i agree we need more reporting on how Iraqi's who ARE freed support us....which FOX does and the other networks do not seem to focus on for some reason

Doc I agree you can not enter the battle with a closed end plan. You never know what is truley waiting for you till you are there. So many felt all would go to plan because they new we would have the air to our self. Well you still need foot soldiers. We had the air controled in Nam to. Unless all these folks who were waitng to welcome us with open arms starte shoowing up in force. Well it looks like we may need to go door to door in Baghdad. I do not believe that was part of the plan. So if it happens will have to adjust once again. I hope it dont because that could prolong this much longer then needed.
Skeeter I dont pay much attetion to CBS/NBC. However I do think ABC does try to tell all sides of a story. CNN does a very good job. I only have one problem with Fox. They keep going back to Clinton. Seems to long ago to getmuch attention. They seem not afraid to knock a Dem, OR Indepentent. But seem to kiss the hand of all Rep. We all know we have, and have had, the worst of both. They just cant be so afraid of there owner not to say so. As for there reguler news its good. I like Bill O'rilley. Even if he is full of him self and kiss his own hand everynight. But hey he is interesting.

Just saw on CNN

Pentagon has not kicked Geraldo out....but said they are upset...and are investigating what he did.

However, FOX (In I'm sure a move that says they know he will be kicked out) is saying that they are removing him from Iraq tomorrow.

It all has to do with Geraldo drawing a battle map in the sand at least twice last night....did anyone else see this? I did.....and actually couldnt believe he was doing it when I saw it.
