GIANTS/PADRES Over 8 -110 - These clubs have gone Over in their last 5 head-to-head meetings this season and I expect a similar outcome tonight. San Francisco?s Ryan Jensen has fallen on tough times of late, recording a 7.43 ERA and a 1.88 WHIP in his last 3 starts while allowing an OBA of .323. He has struggled on the road for most of the season, despite his 6-4 road record, as he has a very high road ERA of 5.83, allowing an OBA of .297 away from Pac Bell Park. Jensen may simply be wearing down, as he has failed to last more than 6 innings in any of his last 5 starts, going less than 5 innings in 3 of them. From a technical angle, the Over is now 89-63 58.55% in all Giants games that have had a posted total of 8 or 8.5. Granted, Perez has been pitching well for the Padres. However, he has faced few lineups as formidable as this Giants contingent, and the fact that San Francisco is still in the playoff hunt should keep them focused. As well as Perez has pitched, the Over is still 3-1 in his last 4 starts. All Giants road games have averaged a total of 9.65 runs per game this season, while all Padres home games have averaged 8.29 runs, both figures good enough to go Over tonight?s total.
