Gibber--I hope you know with your answers to saint's question, you have officially been earmarked as the Graphic Arts expert of the forum.

Anyway, I have a buddy that is getting married. I have been asked to do the video for the rehearsal dinner. What I would like to do is throw in some practical joke pictures in it. One of the ideas is "predicting" what their kids will look like by combining two pictures of them together to make hideous looking babies.

Anyway, what program would be best for that? If Photoshop, I have it but I'm not very good with it.

Thanks for any help.

Photoshop is deffinitely the best program for photo editing. There's other programs out there like paint shop pro, microsoft's image pro and Picture it but nothing beats Photoshop's capabilities. Not an easy program to learn because there's so many tools and more than one way to do each task but since you already own it I would play around with it. Experiment with your layers and layer masks along with the paint brush, eraser and magnetic lasso tool and go from there.

For the beginner, Picture It Premium is a good choice, although it does not share some of the higher-powered features of Photoshop.

Thanks, SoCal.

I am very new to PhotoShop CS (very little experience with any PS).
