?Clearly the war, and all its confusion, has come to the heart of Baghdad,? Reuters Editor-in-Chief Geert Linnebank said. ?But the incident nonetheless raises questions about the judgment of the advancing U.S. troops who have known all along that this hotel is the main base for almost all foreign journalists in Baghdad.?

'Raises question about US troops judgment'??????

WTF??? These journalists are in the dead center of a war zone, for Crissakes. This is how much that everybody has come to respect the accuracy of our weapons and the near- infallibility of our troops. Take a step back, Geert. There are somewhere around 1100 journalists running around a city that has been, and continues to be bombed to hell and now with ground troops all over the place.

These guys are holed up in some hotel in the middle of the city and think it's realistic that they are 100% safe and then have the gall to take potshots at our troops? BS!

I heard on the radio this morning that the reporters were on the roof looking out over the city with binoculars.

uhhhhh....I might see a couple holes in that practice.

Reuters later complained that while playing with matches they accidently burnt themselves. They are now "questioning the judgement" of the match makers.

Anyone hanging around Baghdad that does not live there should be gone. Even some of those who do might want to stay inside. Like these Diplomat's that were told a few weeks back. Good idea to leave Iraq not just Baghdad. Of course now some get shot at and it's our fault. These journalists were on top of the building. Dum chits. Lets see whats that guy on top the roof got in his hand. Not sure is it a rifle. Me or him im fireing. Then in a window some people are hoalding up a young child. I guess trying to say dont shoot. Chit still there in the middle of a war with a child. Now that take brains.

Heard Cent Com briefing this morning on the way to work and the morning after we possibly killed Saddam and his nitwit sons, alls these reporters could do is ask stupid question after stupid question about reporters being shot at.

One reporter actually had the BALLS to stand up and complain about the reporters being killed by stating " They (the reporters) were just trying to do thier jobs" WHAT THE HELL DOES HE THINK THE SOLDIERS ARE TRYING TO DO THE DUMNB PHUCK!!!!

Al-Jazeera has talked since the beginning of this war on how immoral it is that we value the life of an American over the life of an Arab.

Now, their uproar over this seems to imply that they value the life of the Al-Jazeera reporters over the life of an Iraqi civilian.

Hypocrisy at it's finest and I thought that we were the only hypocrites.

Well now I can eat my words. This hotel is where the reporters are to stay. It's on the do not shoot at list. So what happen?
Well seems a small group of soldiers backed by tanks felt they were under fire from lobby of this hotel. Problem is our tank shot out the 14 and 15 floor. Of course where some reporters were. And about 13 stories above where the fire was comeing at them from. Then to make it worse. Seems fire was coming from building next store. A tough situation the comander said. But it's war.
I agree with all that it's war it's tough. But a no shoot at list believe me means just that. There are many reasons why. This includes our own special opps folks working out of that building.
So right things will be said in open. But I feal sorry for the captain in charge of that small group. His next promotion just went in the chitter.
