OK........this is just a good friend of mine, no sex just friends. Her X boyfriend comes over last night, they get into an argument and he punches her in the eye and leaves.

I've tried to get her to files charges but she wont. She says she doesn't want to ruin his life, she'
s kinda stubborn.........any thoughts that are actually serious???

You can make her press charges but I can't figure out why so many women protect these pus sies! Its almost like they enjoy getting beat on. The sad thing is if she want press charges for that, then she'll get back with the idiot.

I put this letter together for her, just to use as a scare tatic:

You need to scare the shit out of this loser...............it takes a real coward to hit a woman. So this letter is just an idea, you can tweak it anyway you'd like.

Dear ????,

You have gone to far this time and I'm not going to take it from you. I am not your punching bag, you hitting me in the eye was the final straw. My eye hurt so bad last night I had to drive myself to the emergency room. After numerous test they're telling me I have a detached retina and will need surgery. I'm looking at more then $10,000 and maybe up to $20,000. I don't have this kind of money or insurance. You will be paying for this out of your own pocket. I hope this punch to my face was worth it.

I've taken pictures of my eye and am still considering pressing charges against you and notifying your employer. I will be contacting an attorney today for advise. You crossed the line hitting me. If you think I'm going to stand for this then you've misjudged me.

I will say this one time and one time only: Stay away from me. Do not come over, do not call, email or text me, we are finished. I never want to see you again, ever.

This letter is just to scare him and to see how he reacts????

Smack that fuk upside the head and see how he likes it. If you can't do it find someone who will . My sister was with a guy like him. She got hit 3 or 4 times before she let me and my brother know. She also didn't want us to do anything. Well we caught up with the coward one night and slapped him around. The fuk even said why does it have to be both of you so he had a chance. While in the process of beatin the crap out of him I said- how does it feel to be hit and be helpless. I even told him if he wanted to go one on one the next day we could. I have only seen him once since then and he didn't say a word. Guys who hit women are nothing but pussies who probably got beat up alot and can only show how much of a man they are by beating on someone who will never be able to defend themselves.

I agree with the above stated. If she won't press charges that means she is leaving it open as a possibility to date this guy again.

She's afraid of ruining his life? That's weak. She's afraid of ruining her chances with him in the future.

Take your beloved hand gun over there and threaten the punk....

Yeah really. Put the gun to some use.

Women like this are frustrating as hell. She'll probably just continue to let herself be abused.

It's just like filing rape charges... women are scared of what will happen...

Plus.. they don't want to go through all the court processes and be put on the stand....

In my eyes... this is one of the problems w/ the CJ system

BUT.. on the other side... some crazy women will bring these charges up just to get back at their man...

Personally... I think rape shield laws are BS... but they help women bring rape out in the open

Rape is the most underreported crime in the US

90% goes unreported...

PLUS... 1 in 3 women will be raped by age 21

Thats not true... she is just scared about all the processes going through the system...

It's pretty much his word vs hers... UNLESS the plaintiff has some kind of physical abuse

Hell I don't know
I don't know about Alabama law or wherever you're from but in In. the prosecuter will file charges against a batterer whether the person who was battered wants them to or not.
