DJV, you're confusing me with Kosar. I've probably posted a total of 2 or 3 articles in the past YEAR, if that.

DJV I dare you to go thru all my threads. I back my shit up, do you? :brows:

Chit! can be found in many places Charlie. Some day when your a little older you will understand that. You called me the name first. I tried not to do it back. But you got time. You go look it up. It's like the war in Iraq. You still think we went there because a tie in to 9/11 and WMD. Both now found to be lies. But you say you got the facts. Just more chit!

This has been a good thread. One of the issues that most people don't consider when they talk about not getting pay raises is the fact that they are also not paying more for health coverage when it is costing their employer more. Our raises are going to our benefits instead of directly into our pockets. I don't know who is to blame for our health care issues, but it needs to be fixed. Right now lawyers, insurance companies, and drug companies are all raking it in while we are footing the bill through transferring cash raises to benefit raises. This needs to change.

Nick--besides the point that you thought Kerry was going to win, your post reflects all of the things that I and others have been saying throughout this campaign. Kerry never gave voters a reason to vote for him. Every question and campaign move was based around an attack on Bush. This will almost never work. I agree that if the Dems would have placed a stronger candidate in his place, Bush would be out at this point. I do think being a liberal-minded person hurts in Presidential elections. The only way the Dems are going to win is to swing some of the red states. you can't do that with a liberal. It will take a more conservative Democrat for whom long-time Republican voters do not mind voting.

Bowling Green Ky
Cost of inceases on groups here in Ky has increased from 5% to 35% yearly depending on claim experience of group.
It was not unusual for employer to pay entire premium employee and family 15 years ago.
As increases came they most went to paying employee only--then 75% of employee.
Now I have several groups that allow dollar amount monthly toward insurance(like paying fixed amount of $250 toward any employee wanting coverage) That creates more probs because some younger employees would be covered in full yet older employees it pays about half.--I don't know what solution is but I wish someone would find one. It is no fun going to these businesses with increases each year. I don't know where money is going. Insurance carriers in Ky have went from paying brokers such as myself a % of premium to a flat $24 per contact on group.
Never put pencil to it but figure roughly cut my compensation on group business 40%.--and I would be very happy to take cut as long as they would not increase group premiums down the road--which won't happen.
Now since most my group business is through BC BS of KY Ihave sneaking suspicion that their move from non-profit couple years ago might have something to do with it.
I think each states department of insurance needs to get more involved in regulation of premiums.

The thing that hurts many is no Bennies offered at all. There are companies that do this.
