Watched the UCSB / Akron game with great interest yesterday as I had my largest play of the year going. Where do I start.... This is actually played in an equestrian center and arena in Vegas. This is where the famous Budweiser clydesdales horses reside with their little dalmation buddies. Who knew? Anyways, spoke to a buddy who was at the game yesterday and he said that there were maybe 300 people total in the building. Quite literally, about 25 people per animal in the house. I asked him if there was any familiar barn smells noted and he said that he couldn't smell them so at least that is good.

Anyways, UCSB did not defend well yesterday and an repeat of that would be nice. If Akron can push the total to 154 with them then surely Iona SHOULD surpass that number. Lots of whistles please.

12/22/15 G A.J. English Hand expected to miss Tuesday vs. Cal Santa Barb & Wednesday vs. Akron

This could put a damper on the over play but let it ride.

English did not start and UCSB got hammered to a pk and even -1 at some shops one minute before the tip. I was very surprised that they already put out a line for tomorrows Iona/Akron game. If English indeed is out again, I can not emphasize enough on how good of a play Akron should be at -4'.

FYI to anybody that has money on this one. Akron Center Forsythe was a late scratch. He was supposed to go but did not do so. Their backup Big Dog Johnson is a capable replacement but just leaves them a bit thin and the Zips are in some foul trouble. Also FWIW, Akron opened up some distance between them and Iona in the first half but got sloppy down the stretch to lead by 2, 41-39

Also, the teams were separated twice from fighting in pregame warm ups. Whistles went Iona's way in FH with a FT discrepancy of 14 to two. With the tension between the two teams I expect the 2nd half to be tightly called equating in more FTs. If the fouls even out I still like Akron but.....:shrug:

I came out a little better than the posts indicate as I bet more than the posted 5 units on Akron, but I really screwed the pooch on the total. Just hope that I got one or two of you to take a look at the Zips today.

Todays posts went 1-3 for -.5 units. Just stupid.

Posting ytd record now 44 -41 + 11.1 units. The big plays have been panning out well.
