sorry...i'm convinced it is and has always been a complete con job led by the govt in their quest to control industry and create a new revenue stream (CARBON CREDITS/TAXES) on certain activities.

there are just as many scientists who think its a hoax, just that they're not quoted/represented by the msm because it doesnt fit an agenda.

What exactly is it caused by? Lions, Tigers or Bears? Or is it Allah's doing?

Unless someone, anyone, can tell me that man, while on this earth, has not created harmful emissions and continue to do so - or continue to dump harmful waste whenever possible - or whatever will continue to guarantee their products or bi-products that anyone in their right mind could see would be harmful to the environment - then you guys who make fun of this movement are really weak in your arguments - IMO, FWIW.

I know the assumed "capitalists" that are pro-right-wing are against any control of any kind, but you guys are so silly (IMO, FWIW) in your blanket resistance to common sense on our planet that it makes your arguments weak IMO, FWIW.

Hedge, if you could honestly answer me one simple question, it might make me back off your B.S (IMO, FWIW). Do you think that man, in the past 50 or so years, or 20, (FWIW) have caused any problems to our environment? To our air? To our levels of atmosphere? Do you really think that man has done nothing over the years to cause a change in our current environment?

Since I know Hedge won't answer my direct question with a real answer, I would ask it to anyone else. If anyone maintaining that global warming, or our environment is not a big deal - which some of you surely do - then have at it. In my opinion, it's just STUPID to maintain otherwise. So, go for it - smart folks...

I WILL ONLY SAY THIS ONCE. I was a young kid and never listened to the news at the age of 15 in 1976 in the Month of Dec., but I walked in the living room and their was a democrat whom I don't recall blurring on the TV...get ready for Global Cooling...I walked outside and looked in the dky and was like....holy shit...do mean this weather will last forever????? It was cold as hell and today I hear all the same stories...when global cooling got debunked now its global warming....and now that scientists are debunking it....the dems are bk to global cooling....ANY 1 REMEMBER Global cooling in the 70's???? All of this is a sham

1st I'll agree that we should do all we can to keep environment clean

--but question your premise that anyone believes that global warming is caused by burning of fossil fuels.
Unless you can answer one question-why we've had "global cooling" last decade with increase burning of fossil fuels.

--and to add 50% minimum increase on cost of fuel and utilities on Americans in time of recession on 50/50 hypothisis at best-- is not only irresponsible--but suicidal.

Now unless you or anyone else can give us one fact that burning of fossil fuels is responsible for global warming--I will have to surmise that maybe we aren't the "stupid" one. :)

P.S. Looks like your Global Warming advocate Gore-has been forced to toss his slide presentaion he's been dazzeling his sheep with--

The New York Times reports Gore used a graph from a disaster research center in Brussels to illustrate that human-driven climate change is, "creating weather-related disasters that are completely unprecedented."

But the Center for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters, which came up with the raw data, says no such direct correlation can be proven: "Justifying the upward trend in hydro-meteorological disaster occurrence and impacts essentially through climate change would be misleading. Climate change is probably an actor in this increase but not the major one...
We need to be cautious when interpreting disaster data... and remain objective scientific observers."
