3* - UTEP/Toledo OVER (62)
2* - Toledo (-3)

This should be a wild game. Both offenses average almost 35 points per game and both feature quarterbacks who like to throw the long ball. Historically, this bowl game has been a high scoring affair with the winner scoring at least 38 points over the last four years and three of those winners scored in the fifties.

I just can?t back Price?s Miners after the way they absolutely imploded to end the season. The CUSA title was theirs for the taking and they literally gave it away with some of the worst play I have seen in a very long time. Jordan Palmer isn?t half the quarterback his brother was in college and while he has thrown for 3,340 yards and 28 touchdowns, he also has 18 interceptions this season. This is the first game this season where UTEP has been getting points and I see good reasons for that.

The Rockets have Gradkowski running their a very balanced offense which has averaged 222 yards rushing and 224 yards passing this year. This has not been the kind of year for Gradkowski that he had hoped for and while he has done well with 2,171 yards passing and 24 TD passes, last season he was stunning the football world with his aerial game and tonight will be his last chance to showcase his considerable passing talent for NFL scouts. Gradkowski wants to be playing on Sundays next year and tonight, with the entire league watching, I don?t expect that him to disappoint. Throw in the fact that Toledo outrushes UTEP by nearly a 100 yards per game and I like this team to easily cover the small number in a high scoring game.

gl judge. agree on all your points. i think the quarterback play can be summed up with one stat -- palmer has thrown 18 interceptions this year. gradkowski has thrown 25 in his entire career at toledo. both are ultra-talented. but gradkowski makes far better decisions imo. best of luck my friend.

Nice to have you on my side GMan, especially when backing a MAC team. Good luck!

Excuse my ignorance, but how can Toledo qualify as a strong rushing dog if they are favored?
Oops! I obviously got the sides confused when I was typing. The point still remains regarding the disparity between the running games.

Anti-Homer Play!! Toledo and over all day long. Palmers bad decisionmaking giving Toledo short field to work with. Just like against Memphis, UAB and SMU!
