re: cavaliers
for a team that has endured bad break after bad break the last 5 or 6 years- it seems theyre getting a lot of good fortune lately. toronto and new york and miami are all stumbling and the cavs have moved to just 1/2 game out of the #8 spot in the east and just 1 game out of the #6 spot. doesnt say much for the strength of the east, lol but cavs do seem to be making a legit playoff push. that being said- they just have too many mental lapses on the road to feel comfortable laying chalk. obviously this is a revamped cavaliers team with all the roster moves but to put it in perspective- the last time the cavs were in chicago, they had just won their first road game in almost 40 tries. this time around, theyre FAVORED to win. big swing. cavs have a ton to play for. i would like to think that they know the importance of getting this winnable game down the stretch. their recent road games vs new york and orlando (both wins) should NOT have gone down to the wire. cavs dont know how to step on anyones throat and that is a bad habit. to be truthful, i cant lay road chalk with the cavaliers yet. perhaps its just me being so used to seeing them fail on the road. times ARE CHANGING for the better in cleveland (the fact that theyre a 1/2 game out is miraculous in itself) and the road team has won both games in this series this year. ill be pulling for the cavaliers to get the win but cant risk any money on it.
my best advice would be to scale back a little on the wager. this is definitely a game the cavaliers HAVE TO HAVE if they want to be a playoff team, and a win here would officially tie them for #8 in the east.......cavs certainly capable of winning by 8 or 9 but what theyre capable of doing and what theyll do are two different things. they had new york down 23 in the 4th and let it become a game and orlando down 15 in the 4th and let it get to overtime. that scares me, even though they won both.
re: big monday
both those games are really tough. in fact, all 3 games on espn tonight are tough. normally i do pretty well on mondays but these are some sharp lines. truthfully, id probably lean to texas with no opinion on sh/uconn. thought i heard a stat that texas is like 7-1 SU on big monday games. and i think theyre the better team anyways. but osu has been impressive in their TV spots as well. just some damn tough games.
