Kansas City area for who knows how long....
New Jesey papers have big stories about Brodeur not starting tonight and going to try and get his 300th win tomorrow against Ottawa. Brodeur says he's not upset about it. I wonder if bettors are---he is 14-0-3 against FL. Dampenhousse is starting his second NHL game. Has played 84 minutes, 2.86 gga. I would expect team to defend him, they've been on very defensive game lately anyway. FL ain't scoring much, but could, and Luongo due for good one.

Buffalo papers report Sabres' coach unhappy with goaltending and called up Mika Noronen from minors. Strong speculation he will start tonight or tomorrow. But his presence is ticking off Biron, so has worked some good already. Papers say Barasso expected to start for Carolina. That would be smart, he's 11-4, wtih 2.36 gga, .924 pct vs Buffalo. And he and team on a roll now. And his team underdogs.

Calgary Herald sez Turek "expected to start in Dallas tonight." Ft Worth paper reported Belfour has spend some of his flu down time watching his play and he's not happy about it. But over has hit 4-0-1 in Dallas L5 at home, 8-3 in Calgary on road, 8-0 in L8.

Is Edmonton going to start Salo tonight? They've only used him once back to back nights this season. But you have the Bulin Wall to oppose tonight, and no game Sat. o/u is set at 4.5, so I guess so...Edmonton has had 6 back to back games this season, 3-3-0-0 in first, 2-0-3-0 in second.

Roy is expected in net for SJ game tonight of course. He's 19-4-4, 1.69 gga vs SJ. Nabokov is 0-4-1, 2.38 gga, .913 pct vs Colorado. Under has hit 3-0-1 in L4. But both teams on big winning streaks now, with offense picking up, and o/u is at 4.5

Thibualt is expected in net tonight against AT after his rest. Been poor and overworked lately. Spacek is back on roster, not sure if he will play. Chicago sometimes takes lesser opponents too lightly. Loss at home to depleted LA team 5-2 last week. Two ties with Columbus. Lost 5-2 at Anaheim. But know they have to work on road wins, and need more points bad to stay on top of division...

Boucher expected to start sat, so is Turco.
