Brent Johnson, St. Louis Blues - Johnson will be the starter for Thursday's game against the Canucks, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The St. Louis goalie situation will be one worth watching over the rest of the regular season as Johnson and Chris Osgood will battle evenly for playing time. Whoever performs better will probably be appointed as the team's #1 goalie for the playoffs. What makes it interesting is that Johnson plays more or less like a younger version of Osgood.
Miikka Kiprusoff, San Jose Sharks - Kiprusoff will be the starter for Thursday's game against the Mighty Ducks, reports the San Jose Mercury.
Martin Gerber, Anaheim Mighty Ducks - Gerber is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Sharks.
Pasi Nurminen, Atlanta Thrashers - Nurminen is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Canadiens.
Jeff Hackett, Boston Bruins - Hackett is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Devils.
Roman Turek, Calgary Flames - Turek is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Maple Leafs.
Kevin Weekes, Carolina Hurricanes - Weekes is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Flyers.
Patrick Roy, Colorado Avalanche - Roy is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Blue Jackets.
Marc Denis, Columbus Blue Jackets - Denis is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Avalanche.
Tommy Salo, Edmonton Oilers - Salo is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Islanders.
Jose Theodore, Montreal Canadiens - Theodore is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Thrashers.
Martin Brodeur, New Jersey Devils - Brodeur is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Bruins.
Garth Snow, New York Islanders - Snow is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Oilers.
Mike Dunham, New York Rangers - Dunham is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Senators.
Patrick Lalime, Ottawa Senators - Lalime is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Rangers.
Roman Cechmanek, Philadelphia Flyers - Cechmanek is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Hurricanes.
Ed Belfour, Toronto Maple Leafs - Belfour is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Flames.
Peter Skudra, Vancouver Canucks - Skudra is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Blues.
Cristobal Huet, Los Angeles Kings - Huet will get his first NHL start sometime this weekend, reports the LA Times. Coach Andy Murray said he is not sure which game Huet will start, but check back later and hopefully we will have a more concrete answer.
Dan Cloutier, Vancouver Canucks - Cloutier, out with a sprained knee, only practiced for 15 minutes yesterday and is still several days away from returning. He was able to go down on his knees to test the butterfly style he plays and hopes to go through a full practice within the next two days. If he does and suffers no setbacks, he could return soon thereafter.
Evgeni Nabokov, San Jose Sharks - Nabokov is suffering from a chest injury which has been giving him problems for a while now. He won't dress for Thursday's game against the Mighty Ducks with Vesa Toskala being called up as a replacement. At least now we know why Nabokov hasn't been starting many of the Sharks' games lately; we thought he was in coach Ron Wilson's doghouse.
Reinhard Divis, St. Louis Blues - Okay, this really has no fantasy implications but hear this one out: Divis, who if you remember was the Blues third string goalie who got injured at the beginning of the year and consequently missed almost the entire year with an abdominal injury, finally made it back onto the ice earlier this month. But the good news didn't last as he's back on the shelf with the Blues' minor league affiliate team after getting bit by a spider of all things. We kid you not.

"General manager/coach Pat Quinn indicated that former Calgary Flame Trevor Kidd likely will get the start tonight. "
also this note: "Toronto tough guy Tie Domi has completed serving his three-game suspension for his March 4 mugging of Ottawa's Magnus Arvedson and is eligible to return to duty. Fellow ruffian Darcy Tucker has two games to go on his sentence.........Tuesday's deadline trades give the Leafs a whopping seven former Flames as Doug Gilmour and Phil Housley join Robert Reichel, Jonas Hoglund, Gary Roberts, Wade Belak and Trevor Kidd. Tony Amonte, Philadelphia Flyers - Amonte practiced with his new teammates on Wednesday and will be in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Hurricanes. He will play alongside long time friend Jeremy Roenick and Marty Murray as part of the team's #1 line.
John LeClair, Philadelphia Flyers - LeClair has been upgraded to questionable and will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against the Hurricanes. If he gets official medical clearance and feels good, he will be in the lineup and will play on a line with Mark Recchi and Michal Handzus. We assume that means Sami Kapanen will play with Keith Primeau and this is all with Simon Gagne and Justin Williams still out. If you don't see where we're going with this - it's pretty obvious the Flyers will have a scary looking offensive lineup when healthy.
Anson Carter, New York Rangers - Even though he has yet to meet his new team, Carter will be in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Senators. The New York Newsday reports that he will probably play on a line with Petr Nedved. The Rangers other prominent pairings will be as follows: Bobby Holik will play with Eric Lindros and Jamie Lundmark and Mark Messier will center Russians Alexei Kovalev and Pavel Bure in what could be a highly productive line.
Gary Roberts, Toronto Maple Leafs - Roberts tweaked his groin during Monday's game against the Oilers and will not play on Thursday against the Flames. He did say that he expects to be fully recovered for Tuesday's game against the Canucks.
Mikael Renberg, Toronto Maple Leafs - Renberg suffered a strained shoulder in an "off-ice workout" on Tuesday and is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the Flames. He is going to take the morning skate and hopes to be in the lineup so if you really need his services, perhaps keep him active just in case.
Jaromir Jagr, Washington Capitals - Jagr was back on the ice Wednesday but his problematic wrist was still an issue, preventing him from taking part in any shooting drills. The pain has subsided though and Jagr will practice today, with hopes that he can return over the weekend but according to coach Bruce Cassidy, he probably won't be back until early next week.
Scott Young, Dallas Stars - The NHL suspended Young for two games for an "attempt-to-injure" crosscheck during Tuesday's win against the Blue Jackets. It was the first suspension of the veteran winger's 15-year career but he will be eligible to return for games starting next week.
Bill Muckalt, Minnesota Wild - Muckalt told the Minneapolis Star-Tribine that his dislocated and surgically repaired shoulder is at about 40% healed, but he nonetheless is shooting to return by the end of the regular season. Muckalt is thus far only able to participate in non-contact drills with his teammates because he experiences pain doing certain shoulder movements.
Jozef Stumpel, Boston Bruins - Stumpel got "dinged" in Tuesday's loss to the Senators and left practice early yesterday as a result. However, he plans on playing in Thursday's game against the Devils, according to the Boston Herald.
Scott Gomez, New Jersey Devils - Gomez, a healthy scratch for the Devils last game on Tuesday, will be in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Bruins according to the New Jersey Star-Ledger.
Oleg Tverdovsky, New Jersey Devils - Tverdovsky, a healthy scratch for the Devils last game on Tuesday, will be back in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Bruins according to the New Jersey Star Ledger.
