Jean-Sebastien Giguere, Anaheim Mighty Ducks - Giguere is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Hurricanes.

Kevin Weekes, Carolina Hurricanes - Weekes is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Mighty Ducks.

David Aebischer, Colorado Avalanche - Aebischer is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Flames.

Roman Turek, Calgary Flames - Turek is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Avalanche.

Jose Theodore, Montreal Canadiens - Theodore is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Capitals.

Olaf Kolzig, Washington Capitals - Kolzig is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Canadiens.

Marty Turco, Dallas Stars - Turco is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Kings.

Jamie Storr, Los Angeles Kings - Storr is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Stars.

Martin Brodeur, New Jersey Devils - Brodeur is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Wild.

Dwayne Roloson, Minnesota Wild - Roloson is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Devils.

Ron Tugnutt, Dallas Stars - In case some of you are wondering, Tugnutt missed 3:43 of Saturday's game against the Coyotes due to a skate problem. There were no injury involving either him or Marty Turco, who came in to cover for that time period.

Chris Osgood, New York Islanders - Osgood tested out his sprained ankle on Saturday and is set to accompany the Islanders on their upcoming four game road trip. According to the New York Newsday, he is likely to make his return sometime during the trip.

player info

Pavel Brendl, Carolina Hurricanes - Brendl will make his Hurricanes debut on Sunday against the Mighty Ducks, likely on a line with Ron Francis and Jaroslav Svoboda. He is not someone worth using at the present time, unless he somehow recaptures his minor league magic.

Patrice Brisebrois, Montreal Canadiens - Brisebrois was scratched from Saturday's game against the Maple Leafs due to experiencing chest pains during the pre-game skate. He is to be kept in hospital for observation overnight but the Canadiens' doctors say that he is stable and not in any health risk.

Martin Straka, Pittsburgh Penguins - Straka left Saturday's game against the Bruins in the first period with a left hamstring injury. The Penguins don't believe the injury is serious but Straka is one of the most injury prone players in the entire league and a relatively minor injury could threaten a good chunk of his season. We'll keep you posted.

Eric Daze, Chicago Blackhawks - Daze skated for a second consecutive day on Saturday but will not play on Monday against the Canucks. He is targetting a return to action for Wednesday's game against the Leafs.

Pierre Turgeon, Dallas Stars - As reported yesterday, Turgeon is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Kings with a hip flexor injury.

Sergei Fedorov, Detroit Red Wings - Fedorov was furious at Wings coach Dave Lewis following Saturday's loss to the Avalanche. Fedorov was primarily angry at playing less than 15 minutes in the entire game and only about 5 minutes in the first period. He did slightly strain his neck near the end of the game, though it is unknown whether this contributed to his low minutes total.

Jiri Fischer, Detroit RedWings - Fischer accompanied the Red Wings on their brief one-game road trip this weekend but is not close to playing. In fact, he doesn't even know when he will be back on the ice. Fischer is recovering from a torn ACL.

Jason Allison, Los Angeles Kings - Allison was placed on the injured reserve list, retroactive to January 25 with a strained neck. Again, nothing more than a bookkeeping move as the Kings wanted to clear a spot on the main roster for someone else.

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
I would not be surprised to see Garon in for Habs,
and, more likely, Gerber for Ducks.

Gerber has never faced 'Canes. yahoo sez he's 1-7-3 this season, with 2.24 gga. Under has hit 8-1 in his starts, and 5-0 in his home starts. Under has hit 14-5 in Ducks games at home with total line set at 5, and 11-3 when they are a favorite at home. (but with this 'Canes team in disarray, my feeling is to the over....)

Avs official site sez " David Aebischer is 3-2-0 lifetime against the Flames (1.41 GAA, 2 SO)."

Kings have used NHL record (for this season) 10 rookies. and Norton is out now. from LA Times:

"With Brad Norton sidelined because of a concussion and Jason Allison and Chris McAlpine both going on the injured list Saturday, Murray shook his head when he thought about deciding which players to call up from the minors.

"There are not a heck of a lot of options in terms of players to choose from," Murray said. "We've got most of their top offensive-type guys up here already."

Norton suffered a concussion late in the third period of the Kings' victory over Carolina. He did not travel with the team for the Kings' two-game trip, which will conclude Tuesday at Nashville."
