Thursday, January 13
Curtis Joseph, Detroit Red Wings - Joseph will be the starter for Thursday's game against the Sabres, reports the Detroit Free Press.
Jose Theodore, Montreal Canadiens - Theodore will be the starter for Thursday's game against the Blue Jackets, reports RDS and TSN.
Roman Cechmanek, Philadelphia Flyers - Cechmanek will be the starter for Thursday's game against the Blues..
Patrick Roy, Colorado Avalanche - Roy will be the starter for Thursday's game against the Canucks.
Dan Cloutier, Vancouver Canucks - Cloutier will be the starter for Thursday's game against the Avalanche.
Jamie Storr, Los Angeles Kings - Storr will be the starter for Thursday's game against the Flames, reports the LA Times. The Kings also sent down backup Cristobal Huet and recalled Travis Scott, which basically is another way of saying that Storr will start virtually every game until Felix Potvin returns.
Ryan Miller, Buffalo Sabres - Miller is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Red Wings.
Roman Turek, Calgary Flames - Turek is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Kings.
Tommy Salo, Edmonton Oilers - Salo is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Senators.
Tomas Vokoun, Nashville Predators - Vokoun is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Islanders.
Garth Snow, New York Islanders - Snow is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Predators.
Brent Johnson, St. Louis Blues - Johnson is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Flyers.
Marc Denis, Columbus Blue Jackets - Denis is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Canadiens.
Roman Cechmanek, Philadelphia Flyers - The Flyers announced on Wednesday that Cechmanek will be their starting goalie in the playoffs. Kind of self-explanatory and not really of relevance to fantasy leagues except for the fact that this means Cechmanek will see a lot of action in the coming weeks which also means that backup Robert Esche will be sitting on the bench more often than he has so far this year - but he will continue to get a start every four or five games.
Marty Turco, Dallas Stars - Turco's sprained ankle will reportedly sideline him anywhere from one to four weeks. The Stars for their part aren't exactly being forthcoming about revealing the nature of the injury but they list Turco as "week-to-week" and have recalled backup Corey Hirsch to fill the void. Ron Tugnutt will start in Turco's absence and is a very good replacement in fantasy leagues as well.
Chris Osgood, New York Islanders - Osgood skated again on Wednesday and will accompany the Islanders on their upcoming four-game road trip. If he suffers no setbacks, Osgood hopes to start one of the road games.
Dan Blackburn, New York Rangers - Blackburn was supposed to start on Wednesday against the Panthers, but coach and GM Glen Sather changed his mind on a hunch after bumping into Mike Dunham and his wife before the game. Since the two hadn't met since the trade, Sather felt it was a good omen. Whatever works, we guess.

John Leclair, Philadelphia Flyers - Leclair has not yet been cleared to resume full-contact practice which means he is still a few weeks away from returning. The Flyers expect him to receive medical clearance at the end of the month, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Aleksey Morozov, Pittsburgh Penguins - Morozov disputed published claims that his recent wrist surgery is season ending. He said doctors have told him that they believe he won't be back until next season but he will try and rehab in hopes of returning for the final week or so. He will get his wrist further re-evaluated in two weeks, but nonetheless our guess is that he's done for the year.
Martin Straka, Pittsburgh Penguins - Straka skated for the first time since suffering a left hamstring injury on Wednesday and said that the exercise didn't go as well as he had hoped. He probably won't be back until next week so reserve him if you play in a daily league.
Brendan Morrow, Dallas Stars - Morrow suffered a chest contusion in Tuesday's win over the Hurricanes and will be sidelined "week-to-week", reports the Dallas Morning News.
Jason Allison, Los Angeles Kings - Allison is not expected back anytime soon. The center, who is out with a hip flexor injury, has not even begun skating and is joined by winger Adam Deadmarsh who is also not skating and is also not close to returning.
Turner Stevenson, New Jersey Devils - Stevenson left Wednesday's game against the Coyotes with a left knee sprain. He doesn't believe the injury is serious and hopes to return after a few days off.
Oleg Tverdovsky, New Jersey Devils - Tverdovsky has begun working out in New Jersey and hopes to return sometime next week. He has missed a handful of games with what could have been a possible concussion. The New Jersey Star-Ledger also reports that upon his return, Tverdovsky could be traded because the Devils already have offensive defenseman Scott Niedermayer and Brian Rafalski. If does get healthy and gets traded, Tverdovsky would be an excellent pickup.
Brian Gionta, New Jersey Devils - Gionta skated for the second time as he continues to recover from a broken right fibula. No other details on his return were stated.
Sergei Brylin, New Jersey Devils - Doctor temporarily removed the cast on Brylin's wrist to determine the progress and found everything healing as planned.
