Brent Johnson, St. Louis Blues - Johnson will be the starter for Sunday's game against the Wild, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Manny Fernandez, Minnesota Wild - Fernandez will be the starter for Sunday's game against the Blues, reports the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Martin Gerber, Anaheim Mighty Ducks - Gerber will be the starter for Sunday's game against the Hurricanes, reports the LA Times.

Ed Belfour, Toronto Maple Leafs - Belfour will be the starter for Sunday's game against the Predators, reports the Toronto Sun. Of course, this is assuming the Leafs are able to make it back to Toronto as they were stranded in Montreal last night due to a snowstorm in the area.

Steve Shields, Boston Bruins - Shields is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Islanders, reports the Boston Herald. Coach Robbie Ftorek has not made an official decision as usual, but most believe he will go back to Shields.

Sebastien Caron, Pittsburgh Penguins - Even though he played on Saturday against the Blues, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette lists Caron as the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Devils. The Pittsburgh Tribune, meanwhile, states that the Penguins have not yet publically released who will be their starting goaltender.

Milan Hnilicka, Atlanta Thrashers - Hnilicka is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Oilers.

Martin Biron, Buffalo Sabres - Biron is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Lightning.

Kevin Weekes, Carolina Hurricanes - Weekes is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Mighty Ducks.

Roman Turek, Calgary Flames - Turek is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Coyotes.

Jocelyn Thibault, Chicago Blackhawks - Thibault is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Stars.

Marc Denis, Columbus Blue Jackets - Denis is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Canucks.

Patrick Roy, Colorado Avalanche - Roy is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Rangers.

Ron Tugnutt, Dallas Stars - Tugnutt is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Blackhawks.

Jussi Markkanen, Edmonton Oilers - Markkanen is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Thrashers.

Tomas Vokoun, Nashville Predators - Vokoun is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Maple Leafs.

Martin Brodeur, New Jersey Devils - Brodeur is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Penguins.

Garth Snow, New York Islanders - Snow is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Bruins.

Mike Dunham, New York Rangers - Dunham is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Avalanche.

Sean Burke, Phoenix Coyotes - Burke is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Flames.

John Grahame, Tampa Bay Lightning - Grahame is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Sabres.

Peter Skudra, Vancouver Canucks - Skudra is the probable starter for Sunday's game against the Blue Jackets. We're kinda unsure about this one because Skudra already started once this week, so beware.

Marty Turco, Dallas Stars - After the Stars return from their upcoming road trip next weekend, Turco is expected to practice for the first time since spraining his ankle. His return to action is still undetermined.

Sean Burke, Phoenix Coyotes - Blues GM Larry Pleau went on record to state that his team likely will not be able to acquire Burke due to the fact that the "pieces of the puzzle" just do not fit into place. In other words, Phoenix's asking price is too much as is Burke's contract.

Curtis Joseph, Detroit Red Wings - Circle Thursday on all your calendars as it marks the day the Toronto Maple Leafs visit Detroit to take on the Red Wings. Unlike the last time these two teams met, Joseph will be manning the pipes against his former team and going head-to-head against his replacement, Ed Belfour. It could also be Steve Yzerman's return.

player info

John LeClair, Philadelphia Flyers - An examination revealed that LeClair's shoulder is still not fully healed and because of it, he was not cleared for full contact practice by team doctors. He can still continue practicing without any contact, but his return has been pushed back because of this latest development.

Ryan Smyth, Edmonton Oilers - Smyth is expected back in the Oilers lineup within the next ten days, reports the Edmonton Sun. He is currently out with a shoulder injury.

Georges Laraque, Edmonton Oilers - Laraque was a healthy scratch for Saturday's game against the Canucks. Sitting him for a big game against a division rival seems to imply that the Oilers coaching staff is not pleased with the big forward's play.

Joe Sakic, Colorado Avalanche - Sakic is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Rangers. His broken foot suffered five weeks ago is all but healed, but the star center needs a few more practices to get his conditioning back up to speed. Barring an unforseen setback, he will return next week.

Darryl Sydor, Dallas Stars - Sydor (shoulder) is expected to play on Sunday against the Blackhawks, reports the Dallas Morning News.

Joel Bouchard, Pittsburgh Penguins - Bouchard has been placed in injured reserve with a broken jaw. He was struck in the face by an errant puck during a clearing attempt in Thursday's game and will be out "awhile" according to GM Craig Patrick.

P.J. Stock, Boston Bruins - Stock actually got caught with a bout of food poisoning after eating fish for dinner in New Jersey on Thursday. However, he is feeling better and is expected to be in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Islanders.
