Manny Legace, Detroit Red Wings - A reader sent in word that the WDFN out of Detroit is reporting that Legace will start tonight against the Panthers, instead of Curtis Joseph. We assumed Joseph would start, but this is the most reliable source we have found on the matter so take it however you wish.

Jamie Storr, Los Angeles Kings - Storr will be the starter for Thursday's game against the Senators, reports the LA Times.

David Aebischer, Colorado Avalanche - Aebischer will be the starter for Thursday's game against the Rangers, reports the Denver Post.

Pasi Nurminen, Atlanta Thrashers - Nurminen will be the starter for Thursday's game against the Maple Leafs, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Byron Dafoe is back from his groin injury but the Thrashers are going with the hot hand.

Martin Prusek, Ottawa Senators - Prusek will be the starter for Thursday's game against the Kings, reports the Ottawa Sun.

Sebastien Caron, Pittsburgh Penguins - Caron will be the starter for Thursday's game against the Capitals, reports the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

John Grahame, Tampa Bay Lightning - Though coach John Tortorella would not publically confirm it, Grahame is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Hurricanes. Tortorella had previously been quoted as saying that he would play whichever goalie was hotter and right now with Nikolai Khabibulin struggling, that clearly is Grahame.

Trevor Kidd, Toronto Maple Leafs - Kidd is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Thrashers.

Jeff Hackett, Boston Bruins - Hackett is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Blackhawks.

Jocelyn Thibault, Chicago Blackhawks - Thibault is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Bruins.

Martin Biron, Buffalo Sabres - Biron is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Blues.

Marc Denis, Columbus Blue Jackets - Denis is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Predators.

Roberto Luongo, Florida Panthers - Luongo is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Red Wings.

Tomas Vokoun, Nashville Predators - Vokoun is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Blue Jackets.

Tommy Salo, Edmonton Oilers - Salo is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Canucks.

Dan Cloutier, Edmonton Oilers - Cloutier is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Oilers.

Jose Theodore, Montreal Canadiens - Theodore is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Islanders.

Garth Snow, New York Islanders - Snow is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Canadiens.

Olaf Kolzig, Washington Capitals - Kolzig is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Penguins.

Martin Brodeur, New Jersey Devils - Brodeur is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Flyers.

Roman Cechmanek, Philadelphia Flyers - Cechmanek is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Devils.

Mike Dunham, New York Rangers - Dunham is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Avalanche.

Evgeni Nabokov, San Jose Sharks - Nabokov is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Ducks.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere, Anaheim Mighty Ducks - Giguere is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Sharks.

Brent Johnson, St. Louis Blues - Johnson is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Sabres.

Kevin Weekes, Carolina Hurricanes - Weekes is the probable starter for Thursday's game against the Lightning. It seems we're always wrong about the Hurricanes' starting goalie so you may want to flip a coin instead. But then again, the Lightning are Weekes' former team and it has been a common theme in the NHL this year to play a goalie against the team that traded him.

Felix Potvin, Los Angeles Kings - Potvin was placed on the injured reserve list on Wednesday due to a sprained knee. The Kings recalled Cristobal Huet to take Potvin's spot on the roster.

Johan Hedberg, Pittsburgh Penguins - The Pittsburgh Tribune reports that Hedberg should be back in the lineup for next Tuesday's game against the Canucks. Whether this means he will immediately be given the #1 job remains to be seen, but at the least, Hedberg will be given every opportunity to win the job. It will be interesting to see how the backup position plays out as Sebastien Caron has outperformed Jean-Sebastien Aubin in Hedberg's absence but the Pens may not want Caron to sit idly on the bench day in and day out.

Dwayne Roloson, Minnesota Wild - In case you missed it earlier in the week, Roloson did not play on Wednesday due to the fact that he left for Minnesota to be with his wife as she gave birth. He almost surely will not miss any additional time.

EDMONTON @ VANCOUVER
The Oilers reversed their fortunes Wednesday, posting a 5-1 victory over the Wild after losing by the same score to Phoenix last Friday. Rookie Jason Chimera recorded the first multi-goal game of his career. Tommy Salo is 0-3-0 this season versus the Canucks and has been awful, allowing 13 goals. The Canucks remained unbeaten when leading after two periods (23-0-3) on Tuesday but had to settle for a 2-2 tie with Minnesota. Ed Jovanovski, who has missed 14 games with a broken heel, will be back for the game tonight. The Canucks are 1-1-1 on their four-game homestand. Vancouver has destroyed the Oilers in their three games played this season, outscoring them 14-8. Expect another high-scoring affair as the 'Nucks drill the 'oil'.
CANUCKS 4, OILERS 3

MONTREAL @ NY ISLANDERS
The Montreal Canadiens scored six goals for only the second time this season, as they beat the Panthers 6-3 on Tuesday. The Habs are unbeaten in their last five games. In that span, goalie Jose Theodore is 3-0-2 and has allowed only 11 goals. The Islanders bounced back from another disappointing loss with a 5-2 victory over Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Rick DiPietro made his first start in more than a month and stopped 24 shots. He nearly helped New York kill two 5-on-3 power plays in the second period. DiPietro and Garth Snow (4-8-1) will share time replacing the injured Chris Osgood. Snow will probably get the start tonight, but has yet to win at home this season. Montreal is 1-3-1 in their last five games on the Island. Pick the Isles to swim away with another win.
ISLES 4, HABS 1

OTTAWA @ LOS ANGELES
The Senators suffered their second consecutive loss Wednesday, going down 3-2 to the Mighty Ducks. Ottawa had not dropped two straight games since November 8-9 against Los Angeles and Boston. The defeat snapped the Senators seven-game unbeaten streak against Anaheim. Patrick Lalime is 1-3-1 in his last five games and may see Martin Prusek get the start tonight. Prusek is 9-0-0 this season and has won four games on the road. The Kings lost the finale of their home-and-home series with the Sharks on Tuesday. Felix Potvin suffered a knee injury in the second period and was replaced by Jamie Storr. If Storr gets the call tonight, he enters with a 2-8-1 record. Los Angeles is 3-0-1 in their last four versus the Sens and have not lost to them since the 1999-2000 season. Keep the train rolling as the Sens get crowned for another loss.
KINGS 2, SENS 1

TORONTO @ ATLANTA
Mats Sundin's power-play goal last night, ended the third-longest scoring drought in Maple Leafs history at 163 minutes and 34 seconds. Alexander Mogilny returned after missing two games with a back injury and collected his 22nd goal of the season. Ed Belfour recorded his 22nd win, surpassing his total from all of last season. Belfour has been suffering from a lower-back ailment and might sit this one out. If Trevor Kidd's groin is healed by this afternoon, look for him to get the start. The Eagle's backup is 3-6-1 and has allowed 34 goals. The Thrashers continued their domination of the New York Rangers on Tuesday, recording a 5-2 victory. Atlanta has outscored New York 16-7 while being outscored by the rest of the league, 126-173. The team stretched their unbeaten streak to a season-high four games (3-0-1) while improving to 5-1-1 under new coach Bob Hartley. Although they are hot, look for Atlanta to get blown away by the Leafs.
LEAFS 5, THRASHERS 3

PHILADELPHIA @ NEW JERSEY
The Flyers failed to score for the second consecutive game Tuesday as they suffered a 3-0 loss to the Lightning. Philadelphia had not been shut out in consecutive games since October 2, 1999 by Ottawa and five days later by Carolina. Roman Cechmanek was back between the pipes on Tuesday, but allowed three goals on 22 shots. He is 0-2-0 versus the Devils this season, but has allowed only two goals in the defeats. The Devils avoided the letdown that normally accompanies the first game after a road trip, holding on for a 1-0 victory over Detroit on Tuesday. They have earned points in 11 straight games (9-1-0-1) and have won six in a row at home. Four of Martin Brodeur's league-leading six shutouts have been 1-0 victories. New Jersey is a remarkable 13-11-1-3 when scoring two goals or fewer. Philly is 2-1-2 in their last five trips to New Jersey. Pick the Devils to spread some demons in this low-scoring affair.
