this is my final four team. they are too deep for their own good. they should pound the ball inside all the way to the title.(provided they don't see okst again). we will see, but no one is physically better than the horns. they may not always play smart but they are very talented.:)

texas not the fastest team out there, nor the brightest. but they are deep. they have 3 f/c, and can get away with fouls. correct you are on the ft stat, but why will no one admit that this team is very good ? the entire team is back from last year except for ford. realize ford is a major loss. if this team would post klotz every trip the other team would lose their center 10 min into the game. sorry, like the team and love the fact there are so many seniors on it. big fan of the guys who stay in school.

elvis:

i dont think theres anyone on the forum who has said texas isnt any good. or at least i cant think of one off the top of my head. horns are a damn good team in my opinion. they were just playing like shit heading into today and they got well vs the porous carolina D. theyre capable of beating anyone when they play well. hopefully they carry this FT shooting over to their next matchup

I like this Texas team, too, ELVIS. Being from Big 12 country, you just have to root for for your own conference, especially since so many people think it was down this year. Maybe it was down a little as a whole, but the teams that got into the Dance are very tough and I think they will continue to make nice statements, like Texas tonight. Too bad, Tech got ousted today.

You have to play defense in the Big 12 to be a top-tier team. That is what separates the pretenders from the contenders. ACC is a much different brand of basketball, I guess. Roy Williams obviously hasn't been able to get it through his guys' heads this year that defense wins championships. UNC sure has a long way to go on D and it was again apparent tonight. Not since UNLV, almost ten years ago, has a team been able to win a championship runnin' and gunnin'. Isn't recent history enough for teams to figure out that they need to focus their energies on the defensive side of the court?

BTW, there is nowhere else Klotz should be on the floor, but posted up in the paint. He can't shoot outside of 6-7 feet. OSU has used this to their advantage each time they beat them. Nobody even follows Klotz unless he is down low. Once he gets a pass outside, they get their feet set because they know he is going to bowl down the lane in order to get inside his range..... viola, offensive charging foul. Having said that, I did actually see him sneak one over the rim tonight from almost the free throw line. Maybe he is getting better?? Go Big 12!

Good Luck to All,

-JC

Check that, UNLV was 14 years ago, in 1990. Man, it sure doesn't feel like it was quite that long ago, does it now?

GOD BLESS TEXAS IS RIGHT ON! Was a little behind on the tournament, now I'm a little ahead on the weekend thanks to the Longhorns.
You had one team that did nothing but win all their tight games (now eight wins against the top-25, a school record) versus a team that did nothing but lose close games (UCONN game withstanding, the Heels never grasped defense, May runs out of gas a lot and they finished 11-10 SU) all season long.
I am wearing burnt orange today, but I do not think they'll make it to San Antonio. If they play Duke in the regionals, have they improved enough to be competitive? That December game was not very close. That being said, Texas has won me a lot of dough the last two tourneys, so my mind is open to change.
How do they match-up against next weekend's possible foes?
