Going to try something new

[TIME TO MAKE $$$]

Been having discussion with Chrryblstr at school last few days and I am going to try something new. I will be posting opening lines overnight, and anytime there is line movement by 2 or more on ATS or totals, it will warrant a wager. All wagers will be for 1 unit only as I want to see how successful this system will be as lately it has been a $ maker.

For example, in the case of PHILADELPHIA, the line opened at -3.5, now if the line goes up to -5.5, I will be on MILWAUKEE +5.5, so basically I will be going with Vegas.

Yo Anthony, whats up partner, I spend a good amount of time each week studying line movement. These are my results I came up with in the NFL. Only difference between what your doing and I do, is that i never go against vegas. Now in the NBA for that matter, it seems to be profiting quite nicely when going with the move 15 minutes or less before game time. I only use PINNACLE and GRANDE for such tracking, as I feel that these 2 books are by far the SHARPEST of the 500 or so books out there. At PINNACLE it is more in the vig than the actual moving of the number that can get you that 57-60% win percentage.

* These results consist of moves of 1? or more points from the opening number. All tracking is offshore (Pinnacle, Grande). Results are based on going with the move and taking the closing number.

Well I hope I was able to share with you folks the value of line movement. Play's simply based on going with the move and getting the closing number would have netted you a decent profit through 17 weeks. Hope you enjoyed and GL with your wagers in 2003.

Per esempio, in the NBA PHA opened at -3.5, lets say by game time they are favored -5.5, I would wager on MILWAUKEE +5.5
Hence, going with Vegas....capiche?

It is much much more difficult than it seems, too hard to explain really. Just takes years and years and years and years of studying the lines , watching the market and so on, and so on. Ask Wayne and a few others. We should have been buying stock in VISINE years ago

I hear ya bud, to start off ( must gain experience) I will be using Canbet.com as the source for line movement. But there has to be a 2 point line move for a wager to be made. Now granted I am restricted somewhat since I am in school and on some days my classes go up to 6:30pm EST so I won't have the time to make every warranted wager, but I will try my best.

Your taking what vegas give you, and I would rather pass or see the line go against me. Sharps have been getting there asses handed to them lately, which is where most of the big moves come from and why getting vegas help would profit your system, I just follow more to a 15 minute til game time type of move in the NBA, MLB, and NHL. But only using PINNACLE AND GRANDE of course.
Rarely do i look at opening and closing numbers as much as I used too. And it has payed off immensely. Do not get me wrong I still right them down and track and such, but its more on what the line does 15 mins til tip then what it has been doing all day. But of course as in all wagering you hit your dreaded bad streaks, but it seems to profit more often than not.

If you have a local who posts his lines early in the day what you can do is watch the lines for the last 20 min. before game time that is when the smart money will jump in and make the lines moves. You kind of want to go with the movement. For example tonight i liked byu at early in the day at -8 it opened at 7.5 my local had it at 7 for some reason. The last hour before the game the line had moved all the way up to 9.5 and 10 some places they ended up winning the game by 8 but that is where all the smart money went at the end. This works really good if you have a local who posts the lines early going with the late movement. Remember though when lines move at the very last minute its usually smart money i have noticed it alot this year with college hoops i kind of try to ignore it with the nba. Worked great in both college and nfl football though.

Fading line moves is what I call it. I don't think it is as effective in the NBA, especially on totals, however, as it is in college hoops and college football. In the past, I've always liked to take a real hard look at games where the line moves 3 points or more. Somebody on here has some sort of system along those lines, but since I'm not a good record keeper, it's not me, and I can't remember who it is. To reiterate, I don't think this works as good for NBA totals. I think it also works better on heavily bet games (usually the weekend). GL!

**Remember one thing it would be wise not to fade the Sharp Books. When wagering on them lesser LOW PROFILE games. I will repeat Vegas sucks in my humble opinion compared to PINNACLE and GRANDE when it comes to sharp moves or sharp books, or sharp casinos or whatever you want to call them. We as a group follow these closely in all the main sports.


I know i dont get the recognition or respect as many of the so called HIGH PROFILER posters in here. Then again why would someone trust a smart ass, ill tempered, highly motivated, highly competitive, poor ass italian immigrant such as myself. Who knows his shit
