Going With These 2-today..

going anti-consensus...everywhere i look all i see is cappers on ariz. and marq....i mean the setup or trap is on if u ask me...or atleast i hope its goin to play out this way...kansas and ky. get the money...lookin at these 2-games....based on last game for each team...ky. struggles until final miutes with a decent wisky team....plus ky. loses its best player....marq. looks terrific vs. a bigeast champ pitt...now vegas sets line at 6.5 its at 7 now...marq. looks way to ez....keep reading comments like marq. may even win game...kiss of death...ky rolls bigtime.

ariz. looks unbeatable blows out ndame....kansas struggles vs. duke....ariz. on paper is clearly better...more depth..better players etc..kansas star is injured....ariz.-2....wow...this like takin candy from a baby!!.....not....kansas wins a close 1.

just dont think vegas is goin to give away money especially when we are talking about 2-hi-profile games today...i mean if these lines arent right on today, then they never are gonna be...we are talking about the only 2 games on the board today....gifts like everyone thinks they are getting dont happen on these types of games....maybe on a sat. with 50+ games u might find a couple....i just cant see them being as easy as everybody thinks they are.

Here's my thinking though. . . Vegas IS NOT GIVING AWAY MONEY! They set the Arizona line at 3.5 which is reasonable and its the public (call them wiseguys if you want. . . but cappers like you and I and Joe Blow) that bet this line down.

I would agree if Vegas came out with a line at 2, but not when it was 3.5 and the line has been bet down.

I hear what you are saying but I don't think the public could have bet the AZ line down to -2. The public is all over Zona. I'm think along the same lines as Burgh, although man Zona looks good at a mere -2 (hence the trap theory.). I also Like UK.

Glad to see you around as it has been awhile. . . I meant to use the "public" term loosely there but my main point was that it took money to drive the line down to where it is and not the fact that Vegas set it at 2. The kiss of death for me has always come when I have taken a "gift" that Vegas has given me, not when a reasonable line has been bet down early to now make the other side look "too good to be true".

I cant see guys like us betting this game so early............I would say most of the public bets these games later........Thats why I dont really think the line moving from 3.5 to 2 is public $$$$$

Either way, good luck Nickel and good to be back. This may be one of those where I go against the "trap" and kick myself all night thinking about how easy it was.:shrug: We'll see.

Well, here's my thinking. Vegas gets their money with Kentucky covering and we get ours with Zona's cover!!!!!! You heard it here!!

Again, I used the term "public" loosely to include wise guy action and you, me, Joe Blow, whoever. . . all of our money goes in to where the line moves. . .To bet the game so early with a huge amount of money which would yield the 1.5 point move is absolute ignorance IMO without knowing if Hinrich would wake up the next morning and couldn't move his wrist or if Gardner broke his arm after falling off the bed! You see my point.

That's my opinion on early moves. . . I focus more so on what happens after these initial moves and where Vegas set the line. I suppose we all have our own ways of doing things but again my overall point was that money moved the line down to 2, Vegas did not set the line at 2.
