Stanley....for what it's worth, my 7 1/2 to Show ticket was a winner also. It's like horse race bets. If you bet to win, and to place, and to show....and he wins, then you win all 3 bets. Same if you bet to place and to show and he comes in 2nd...you still win the show ticket as well.
My win for the week was 16.5 units.

I think I outline the 'grading rules' just once at the start of each year, so sorry if I haven't been clear.

To have a consistent approach to all posted plays, all plays are graded on the basis of a 1-unit stake in total.

In this case, it would be 0.5 units on O'Hair @ 15/1 and 0.5 units on O'Hair @ 7.5/1 ... making a profit of 11.25 units on O'Hair. Take away the three losing plays @ 1 unit apiece and that makes a net profit of 8.25 units.

For your W/P/S plays, they would be graded on the basis of 1/3 units to win; 1/3 unit to place; and 1/3 units to show.

It's a similar approach with each-way plays ... 0.5 units to win; 0.5 units to place.
