Since it is Saturday and a good number of folks are likely to be browsing the NHL forum, I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread on the good and bad of hockey books that you have experienced. Whether it is low juice, good odds on dogs or faves, early overnights, good props or whatever else you have seen, take a minute and post it here so that everyone will have a reference for choosing a book that might be good for them.
Pinnacle - Generally considered the best hockey book on the internet. 10 cent sides and totals, lower than average vig on higher priced games and $3,000 internet limits. I don't play there because I like to keep multiple books and in the past when I have wagered at Pinnacle exclusively on the games where Pinnacle offered the best odds, I have always lost money. That is just a personal anecdote and it may not be the case for all players.
Olympic - Overnight hockey lines posted early and a good number of props. Also, they have a very good policy as far as deposit and withdrawl fees are concerned.
CRIS - Overnight hockey lines as well but their withdrawl fee policy is one of the more expensive ones around. The good thing is that they offer loyalty points so that you get free plays after you have a certain amount of action with them.
Pan Am - 14 cent hockey lines, but no overnights. They don't have as many deposit and withdrawl options as you'd like to see.
Hollywood - 14 cent hockey lines. I haven't played there so I can't give any feedback from personal experience.
Canbet - No longer a good hockey book at all. They used to have 14 cent lines that moved up progressively but now they start at 20 cents and move them up (!) progressively.
WSEX - I haven't played there yet this season but in the past they have always offered tremendous underdog odds, especially if you are playing the moneyline. Also, for those of you that like to use ATM Debit cards as credit cards to make deposits, in the past I found the least hassle doing that with WSEX.
5 Dimes - Tons and tons of hockey props. You can usually bet +/-0.5, +/-1, +/-1.5 on every team on the board.
Wagerstreet - This book used to sponsor the hockey forum but no longer is a Mad Jack's sponsor at all. They don't offer overnights, which I believe they did at one point, but I have found unique lines there many times. I used to recommend them as my favorite book in part because their software is by far the best in the offhsore industry in my opinion. I would say they are no longer close to being my favorite, but for hockey they might be worth a look.
Sportsinteraction - Great underdog odds on certain games. I swear, this is just an oddball book at times because I have seen games where the moneyline and half puck line are just 20 or 30 cents off from each other on many occasions. Their customer service stinks and they have gone downhill in a lot of people's eyes, but as even Jack said, if you play within their rules you will get paid.
Oasis - They don't offer moneylines, but I have just noticed a lot of unique lines since I have tried out this book. Very fast pay book as well even though you will always have to pay at least a small fee for a w/d.
Game Day - Offer moneylines and half puck lines on all games. I am not currently funded there but in the past this was a tremendous book for underdog players.
VIP - Same as what I wrote about Game Day. I know they offer first period lines. I forget if Game Day does as well.
