although the calls at the end were very questionable and looked like some Huntington home cooking, this games gave the country a gooddose of the wide open football played in the MAC

More like the WAC, :shrug:, these teams would get fkn smoked by the top teams of the PAC, MAC teams have 1 maybe 2 studs on the teams who dominate, not 3 or 4 on each side of the ball on the top teams. USC would eat these guys up.

I have no doubts that USC would beat either team, IMO USC is the most dangerous team in the country right now. The MAC is not known for defense and most games are wide open offensive shoot outs, but my point was that alot of folks rarely get to see a MAC game across the country and this game was at least a entertaining game for everyone to get a taste of the conference. As far as the other teams in the PAC 10 (excluding WSU-USC) easily beating Miami or Marshall, on a neutraul field I think both teams would be more than capableof knocking off a PAC 10 team.

I thought the officiating was terrible all game; not just at the end. Marshall DBs were allowed to violate and pillage Miami receivers yet the Miami defenders couldn't even sneeze in the direction of Marshall's receivers. I thought the game needed an investigation long before the final drive shenanigans; which only further reconfirmed my opinion.
