I said when Harrick was hired that he would turn our program into a winner, but we would be on probation before too long. I didn't think it would happen this soon, though. I know it is against the rules, but the only reason he is coming out is because he got himself into trouble. I think that is kind of punk. But we shouldn't have broken the rules.

I wonder how much ESPN paid him for the interview. You know his dumb ass doesn't have a job right now and he's not good enough to play ball.

ESPN story

I think Jeremy Schaap is looking for a big story to try and hang his hat on. At some point, he won't be able to ride his dad's coattails anymore. I remember the Bobby Knight interview, he got killed by Knight because of his line of questioning.

i agree on your whole post.
while i dont necessarily "condone" the alleged rules violations, you gotta be a real punk to come out publicly and get harrick in trouble over this thing- simply because when this dude got hooked up with grades, hotel accomodations, etc- it "was all good" and he didnt have a problem getting all those hookups.

if you had a track record like this kid did- and some coach (in this case harrick) is still willing to take a chance on you and provide you with EVERY OPPORTUNITY to be eligible, you have to be a complete idiot to put yourself in a position to jeopardize a damn good hookup, even if it is breaking some rules.

Sung to Devil Went Down to Georgia

Sung to Devil Went Down to Georgia

Had this emailed to me today. Kind of funny.

------------------

Harrick went down to Georgia
He was lookin' for a soul to steal
He was in a bind cause the Dogs were behind
All the other teams in the league

When he came across this young man
Shooting some hoops and shootin it hot
And Harrick jumped on a hickory stump
And said, "Boy let me tell you what

"I guess you didn't know it
But I'm was a basketball player too
And if you'd care to take a dare
I'll give some money to you"

"Now you play pretty good ball, son
But give Harrick his due
I give you a big wad of cash
if you'll play for Georgia too"

The boy said "My name's Tony
And it might be a sin
But I'll take your money and you're gonna be sorry
'Cause someday I'll turn you in"

Tony you lace up your shoes
And play your b-ball hard
'Cause Harrick's broke loose in Georgia
And Harrick deals the cards

And if you win
You get this all this money and this gold
But if you lose
Then Harrick gets your soul

Harrick openned up his case
And he said "I'll start this show"
And money flew from his fingertips
As he handed out the dough

And he pulled the money out of the case
And it made an evil hiss
Then a band of Bulldogs joined in
And it sounded something like this

When Harrick paid up Tony said
"Well you're pretty good, old son
But sit down in that chair right there
And let me show you how its done"

{Refrain}
Probation in Athens, run boys run
Harrick's in the house lying to your son!
Don't worry about class, son, you don't have to go!
Do you have to work for grades? No child no

Harrick bowed his head
When Tony confessed and he knew he'd been beat
And he laid that all that money
On the ground at Tony's feet

Tony said "Harrick, You should have let me back
when the rape charges were wiped clean
But I told you once, you son of a bitch
I'm the best that's ever been"

He played
Probation in Athens, run boys run
Harrick's in the house lying to your son!
Don't worry about class, son, you don't have to go!
Do you have to work for grades? No child no
