Goodbye Cayla gone home now

Had to put our dog down today. That was one of the hardest moments of my life.

She was a mixed golden and was going to be a house dog for my wife. She ended up devoted to both of us but she was my dog and I took her everywhere I went. '

She tore a acl in her right leg and thru the process of the surgery and a brace she ended up tearing the good back leg. She was in pain and we could not bear to go on.

The vet techs were very good about it. They gave her a sedative first but she was fighting that and couldnt relax until they stopped her heart with me holding her.

I am just a crying mess.

go home now Cayla , I will see you again someday.

she wouldnt take her pain pills easily so I went out and bought her 3 lbs of rib eyes. We stuffed the pills in pieces of the meat and she gobbled it.


it was hard to fool her

so many memorys of her around this house.

she was so crazy about chasing tennis balls

I put her toys in a file cabinet drawer. When she was young she would stand and stare at the drawer for 15 min until I at least let her hold one to carry around.
