Not a big market for 5'9" (at best) DBs who major in dealing drugs and making bad decisions.

I doubt I was the only one to hear it during the Louisville-Rutgers game, but I'll pass it along.

"Todd McShay says he's got second round film but thinks he projects more third or fourth round."

There's no way he goes that high. All of the off the field issues...missed an entire season, attitude. I can't see anyone taking a risk until the 6-7 rounds...maybe 5

As mentioned eariler...5'9 DB. His man coverage left alot to be desired. He made alot of plays when the ball wasn't being thrown his way(strips, picks off tipped balls, etc.) but a good qb could throw right over him and pick him apart...see AJ Mccarron national championship game.

Cardinals sign DB-KR Mathieu

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/cardinals-sign-db-kr-mathieu-212710190--nfl.html

By BOB BAUM (AP Sports Writer) | The Associated Press ? Thu, May 23, 2013 8:49 PM EDT

The team's third-round draft pick, Mathieu did not play last season after repeated off-field issues.
The deal could be worth up to just over $3 million. According to a person familiar with the contract, Mathieu does not get his entire slotted salary bonus of $662,500 at first. Initially, he gets $265,000 with the remainder spread out over the next three seasons, as long as he does not get suspended for substance abuse.
If he's cut from the team for any other reason, he gets the entire signing bonus, said the person, who did not want to be identified because the details of contracts are not made public.

Mathieu repeated off field issues were positive marijuana and synthetic marijuana tests. Should be an easy fix. I'm betting he will be a good player, but not the gamebreaker he was in college as a frosh and soph

Having a drug addict mom and murderous dad, this kid has lived through hardship I cannot begin to understand . When he finally gets his act together and becomes a standout pro, on and off the field, he is immediately presented another hurdle. Hope it isn't anything more than a hyperextension, but I'm sure he will battle through it either way as he always has

Bad news for Cardinals DB Tyrann Mathieu. Tests confirmed not only a torn ACL but also a torn LCL. More significant than originally thought.

It's a shame, he's one of the few who truly turned it around looked great on Sundays. Hope he gets back and continues where he left off.
