i`m still waiting for that "what mistakes did bill/hillary clinton make as president/senator" questions from cnn.....

or maybe a question of the dem candidates on creationism......or abortion.....

funny...thay don`t get those questions on cnn or msnbc....i wonder why?....

why is creationism important in the next election ? We just had 8 yrs of clinton & 8 of bush, nothing has changed on the abortion front. as a country do we really have time to waste on these smoke screen issues ?

Not. The story is on the front page in the position that smurphy indicated in his post. Click on the link to see an image of the Sunday edition.
.

Duh Hello Then tell me what story is on page 37--
Can't you read the "inside" above--look in lower lewt hand corner --does references there mean front page article.

The crux of the matter is--CNN-FOX ect ran on tv all day--was front page news in most publications--however NYT had article on page 37--next to Fudruckers article and had ladies making bricks in feature article.

I guess the only way to convince you article was not on front page--is let their editor tell you

The New York Times under siege, that's the subject of this evening's "Talking Points Memo."

Now on Monday, we broke the Page 37 story. The New York Times buried the JFK terrorism situation on Page 37 of its Sunday edition, while all the other New York papers had it on Page 1.

Well, now The Times has to explain itself after a torrent of criticism from regular folks. National editor Suzanne Daly writes, "Not all plots are the same. In this case, law enforcement officials said that JFK was never in immediate danger. In truth, the decision was widely debated even within this newsroom. A few editors thought the story should have been more prominently played."

To insinuate that the story was buried on page 37 is silly. The story was clearly highlighted on the front page and truly got all of the attention that it deserved. There was never any fear of an impending attack and by all indications this was four Caribbean knuckleheads sitting around talking about making a name for themselves.

According to Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, ?This plot was only in its planning stages and at no point was anyone in imminent danger.? Two senior law enforcement officials said that there was no imminent threat to the airport and that the men had yet to obtain any explosives. They had conducted surveillance and the former airport worker had made several trips to Guyana and one trip to Trinidad and Tobago to try to get support for the plot.

Investigators have painted the ringleader, Defreitas, as more of a deluded religious zealot than a competent terrorist. There is even some question as to whether his plot would have moved past the planning stages, regardless of whether police had interceded. Last fall, an informant joined Defreitas on a series of trips between New York and Guyana, where the duo met with Kadir, Ibrahim and Nur in hopes of wooing potential financiers namely, Jamaat al Muslimeen. That group gained notoriety when it staged a deadly coup attempt in 1990, but its criminal prestige deteriorated to the point where it is now considered little more than a street gang in Trinidad, authorities said.

Judge, thanks for the sane analysis.

DTB - The article begins on the front page. Every article on the front page of every major newspaper continues on another page. YOU KNOW THIS.

LOL at Bill O'Reilly "breaking" the story of NYT putting part of the article on page 37. It's a shame that there are so many of you who buy that kind of misleading garbage. "Buried" - Since when is an article with a bold headline on the front page considered "buried".

Lets wait till something really does happen and see how the reporting goes. This story was one of those it might be it maybe. We had so many it's a shame. To many people will not be ready when it does happen or know if they should believe. That's what playing the fear game can get you. You could tell some of the reporting that day who plays game best. I could have sworn after 15 minutes of Fox we all needed to take cover. Almost seemed like they were sad when most the chit was slowed down and put back in the bottle.
Good thing Mayor of NYC got on tube and slowed story down.

You sure are a stubborn bunch--thought quote with NYT editor acknowledging same "might" convince you--
And I would have thought that an actual picture of the actual paper showing the story beginning on the front page would convince you ...or at least people with a brain.

This is just beyond stupid at this point. Please carry on with your insane crusades and deceptive spinning...:)
