Hey thanks for the advice Agent. I rarely play teasers and I have NEVER in my life pushed on one. That's the first time I've ever heard anyone say that a push could be a loss. I've pushed on parlays on that site before and it was considered a push, so I guess I figured if a parlay was a push than a teaser would be too. But thanks for the concern.

No worries UGA, Agent has just had his panties in a bunch ever since I picked his beloved Colts to lose to the Chargers. I was supposed to "save my money" on that one according to him. So as you can imagine, I think his advice is pretty profound.

Well actually the rules on a parlay are a push reverts to a straight bet, in other words if you bet a 2 teamer and win 1 and push 1 it becomes a 1 team bet, not a push..EVER at any book I have ever heard of but whatever, good luck to you.

Yeah, that was a crappy ending for me Thom. I wasn't surprised though. Those are always bad situations when you need the defense to get a stop. The thing that annoys me the most is that that should have been an easy pick. How did the corner not get that?!

Jesus. Ok, ok, I misspoke. What I meant was that if I had bet a 3 team parlay and hit 2 and pushed 1, I win whatever the payout would have been for a 2 teamer. I just said push because I was trying to indicate that it wouldn't be a loss.

Actually, Jack inserted that little beauty on his own. I was admiring someone else's and he put it in there for me without even asking.

Yeah, you got me man...*SIGH*. It has kept me up at night ever since then. Geez, 13-2 and home field just really sucks.

He sucks ( refering to NE's CB ) and its just another reason why the NE doesn't make it to the AFC championship this year...they give up way too many yards through the air to go deep in the playoffs...and hey 1-1 ( if that is the case cause you'll find that some books are different and especially over the Internet ) is better then 0-2...We'll get'em next week I have the day off tomorrow and plan spending a good amount of the day looking at bowl and pro games

Yeah, NE has some crappy corners. That's why I wasn't too surprised they gave that up at the end. No worries. Like you said 1-1 isn't that bad. I just got my hopes up for the push on that teaser bet and then lost it at the end. There are a few teams who look good this upcoming weekend, but I have to do a little more research too. Have a good one.

Oops. You forgot to include the rest of the quote. You know, the part where I mentioned how you so confidently said I should save my money by not betting on SD. What happened to that part? Must have just been mistakenly left out huh?

So Agent, do you ever actually post PICKS? Or do you just have to make yourself feel like a big man by running around and criticizing other people? Because, quite frankly, you're not very good at that either.

Just stating facts, not being critical. I would just assume knowing what you bet would be an intregal part of betting but what the hell do I know, after all I was wrong on one Colts game out of 15..remember. Sorry you cant figure out the difference.

good luck to ya

I was assuming the same rules applied to parlays that applied to teasers. I thought that was common sense. I had honestly never heard of anyone losing on a teaser when they pushed. I didn't think that was even possible. So after Thom said his local calls it a loser I figured I better double-check. But no, I was right. Same rules apply.

As for being wrong on the Colts, I could care less. That wasn't the point. When someone posts a pick and you come into their thread and make flippant remarks like "save your money" with NO analysis whatsoever to back up you're disagreeing viewpoint, why even post?

A couple of weeks ago. I was the one who started the thread on the Chargers/Colts line. Hell, I hardly even mentioned that I was taking SD. I was just curious to get people's opinions on what the line would be. For some reason, you decided to come in there and say that we were all being "haters" and that I should "save my money" because the Colts weren't going to lose.

Maybe you did in another thread, but not that one. You did say that the Colts had been playing well and it was a home game, but that was about all I saw. Like I said, I don't care if you disagree with me but it would be nice to hear some analysis and not just ripping me for my opinion.
