wILMINGTON-16

wILMINGTON-16

Too many digits for me as I hate to throw anything over ten to any team in the country, but on a positive note...Wilmington is hot they have won and covered 4 straight (W&M lost by 24 as part of that streak)

My only concern would be rebounding..Wilmington cannot rbound well at all and even was outrebounded when they beat W&M by 24, and in the two games before that William and Mary lost by 8 and 2 so they have a habit of keeping it close. UNC is 8-3 winning the game straight up against W&M but just 4-7 when trying to cover the number.

If you do get it I would grab the 16 because all I am seeing is 19 and even some 20's....

thanks for the input and let's get the man today!

Lil Mo Wil and Mary vs wilma

Lil Mo Wil and Mary vs wilma

With the wilmington win last week it marked the first season they won 20 games and they also clinched the division title. So they may not have anything to play for and then I came across this quote.

UNCW Head Coach Brad Brownell:

?I?m sure our seniors will not want me to rest them for the upcoming game. We want to win the game and go into the Colonial Athletic Association tournament with positive momentum. We have talked about doing that every game as a preparation for the tournament. Our experienced players have helped the younger players stay focused.

UNCW Senior Forward Craig Callahan:
We?re excited we won the conference, and right now we?re going to focus on William and Mary.?

I'm not going near this one, it would seem willie and mary have a shot to keep it close but UNC is not looking past them.....

I grabbed your parlay out of the other thread and I brought in here to disect it to tell you what I think:

Texas Tech +5.5
New Mexico +7.5
UnlV +5.5

Game One
Texas Tech +5.5

Well I give you one thing you picked a team that needs a win in a bad way for sure since they dumped one to Texas they need a monster win on the resume....

(you ask me as long as a Bobby Knight team is over .500 they will make the dance just to see what could happen..ie: Bobby beat a player, throw a chair, etc...)

Just my personal opinion you could pick a better game here: Tech has only covered three time in the last nine games so your already looking at a 33% clip to start off with and then thye have to run into that H O T Kansas club..

I know the Techsters are a different team tha they were in years past but they still get thier asses kicked by Kansas. Last two games against the JayHawks both losses and bad ones: 108-81 and 90-50

I actually think that Tech will compete and may even keep this one close since they are at home and on ESPN, but if your looking for numbers to support it they are hard to find and think there are some better games out there.....

Game 2

Game 2

New Mexico +7.5

This one I like. Now look out here because the lobos may a bit flat after beating the Utes but if the same refs are there your in great shape as it was a parade to the freebie throw line for the homers...

B Y U lost to the Utes in the last time out and they may need this win but they will have to play like crazy to get it, this is a more confident team than they spanked on Feb 1st (80-64) and they are at home. Anyone remember wne the pit was a tough place to play in? It may be regaining some old form.

You also get the hot hand..Lobos 3-1 ATS in L4, AND 8-4 in L12 VS BYU....the Cougs are 1-3 ATS in L4 and this is the third game on the road for them and they just want to go home...

Last couple of teams these teams faced off:
If the last five games against NM, BYU was a 7.5 fav they would be 1-4.

and according to the schedule this is the last game for the seniors in the pit (check to see if BT does his home calcualtions for this one later)so the incentive to win is there and I am going to personally play them...thanks for tipping me off to them :D

LoBo's +6

Game three

Game three

9 out of ten times everyone would pass on this beauty but it is the cinderella game on ESPN and so action will be jumping on this one, but you should buy extra tums before sitting down to watch it or sleep through it....;)

In the last 12 games they have split them 6-6 and so what you would expect but another close one...as maverick put it in his thread the wyoming boys need this puppy or they may be making plans for the N.I.T. but the rebels need this win too....

so that to me tells me to stay far away...

Got this from the vegas paper:

UNLV has never swept the Front Range trip and has won just twice in 10 outings in the 7,200-foot altitude of Laramie. Add to that the fact that the Cowboys have been nearly unbeatable at the Arena-Auditorium under Steve McClain (57-8) and the Rebels definitely have a big challenge.

"We're going to just have to go up there and catch a second wind," senior forward Dalron Johnson said. "We know it's going to be tough. We've got a couple of new guys, but they know how it feels to be short of breath. It's still playing the same game. It's still playing basketball. You just have to put it in the hole."

With that kind of record that small number may be something the cowboys can cover but I am not going near this one, but it may be a different story after a 12 pack and the midnight game comes on ;)
