totals for today:
1) boston/anaheim: under 9.5 (-120)
nomo is great at home, and S.Schoeneweis has been pretty pathetic over his last 9 or so starts. I think he needs to pitch a real game here to make good.
2) SD/cubs : under 8.5 +100
Jones has a pathetic record at home (hint,hint), but he is a solid under play at home as he pitched well but doesn't get enough run support. Yes, tapani historically has a high era in july and august, but either way, we think that someone's gonna get blown out...I like a 6-1 score.
3) After doin ALOT of digging, I like this game as well:
ATLANTA/ST.LOO OVER 7 (-120)
Maddux gets great run support on the road from his team, and Kyle has a bad careere record vs atlanta 6-11 (4.08) ERA.
Kyle's last three starts against Atlanta have ALL gone over 7 runs.
