I know this is not limited to Ohio State, but I have lost complete respect for Jim Tressel for allowing these guys to play. His sweater vest and glasses are part of the charade.

Wetzel writes:

"Conspiracy theories on why the players were eligible for the Sugar Bowl emerged immediately. They ranged from the Big Ten fearing another possible ugly loss to the SEC to the need for the Sugar Bowl to produce a reasonable television rating in the face of sagging numbers for bowls overall. Plus Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany and OSU president E. Gordon Gee are the chief defenders of the BCS.

Then there?s the general cronyism that exists between bowl games and the college administrators who keep them financially alive. On Dec. 30, PlayoffPAC revealed that the Orange Bowl provided a free, five-day Caribbean cruise in 2010 to 40 athletic directors, conference officials and their wives, in violation, the group alleges, of IRS rules."

AJ Green - 4 game suspension immediately
Marcel Dareus - 2 game suspension immediately

I do feel, that this can only help those of us who are pushing for a playoff. :00hour

I hope Arkansas beats the living shat out of the tosu, and have a feeling that this situation will have many wanting the same thing.

From article:

"On Dec, 29, the NCAA responded to the backlash by issuing a rare statement declaring: ?the notion that the NCAA is selective with its eligibility decisions and rules enforcement is another myth with no basis in fact ? Money is not a motivator or factor.?

Within hours Sugar Bowl CEO Paul Hoolahan had blown that out of the water when he confirmed everyone?s suspicions and said that not only did he lobby hard for Pryor and the others to get a reprieve but also that the powers that be listened to him.

?I made the point that anything that could be done to preserve the integrity of this year?s game, we would greatly appreciate it,? Hoolahan told the Columbus Dispatch. ?That appeal did not fall on deaf ears.?

Oops."

The integrity of this year's game?:mj07:

If Awburn wins the NC, the NCAA will "discover" new info in a year or so.:mj07:

the ad's , coaches, presidents, get all they can grab... why do they hold the players to a standard that Most of them can't and don't even try to come close to ????? why would they ask the players to do something they are not willing to do ???? I say the players should get all they can.... what did these ohio st players do ?? they sold what was theirs... ask randy edsall .. he didn't sell property.... he sold his ass to the highest bidder.... couldn't take the time to fly home with his team... couldn't man up and let them hear it from him. ..... it's a fuking joke, what these ass holes do and say and expect more from the players.... most talk that game about, familiy, integrity, sacrifice, bla bla bla ..... this time of year , coaches are counting their bonus.... you know why we don't have a play off ???? so all these ass hole can justify their existence by getting to and winning one of these bull shit bowl games... I don't have any problem with people trying to make all the cash they can.... just don't sit on the top of the hill and deny others the right to do the same....
