I for one got crushed in this game. not gonna b.s. i knew it after i did it and could not chase enough. but thats the way it goes. I hate the PATS also but thought they could be beaten but not this day with what was at stake and the magnitude. Especially with the roster and experience the Pats had. WOW

but in my eyes what the giants did and how they did it is truly like none i have seen in my life or may not ever again considering what was at stake and how the pats kept winning and undefeated and all else.

first off while some may have thought they would cover doubt many really thought they could win outright or would. some may have but i doubt many. really awesome in many ways.

They giants d played maybe one of the best games ever against maybe one of the best offenses ever. while some may disagree because others had better d games etc. this d was maligned by many all year for its secondary. This d does not compare to other greats. and was never compared to any. but what they did tonight and thru also thru the playoffs. but tonight was pure great in my eyes.all on the road which was truly amazing. but tonight was there best and maybe best d effort ever with what they had to do and face.

I know most look at teams different etc. And while balt, pitt, chicago, jets and others who may have done better etc defensively the g-men were awesome. thats what i seen maybe i am mssing what others seen but i was impressed to say the least. truly awesome when it meant the most.

And for ELI to drive them with all he has been through and many in New York and around the country said he was a worthless pick and maybe not even a decent qb let alone someone to take them to the superbowl, he did what he needed to do like dilfer did years back. don't make mistakes and keep the chains moving which he did. all the while he had pressure in his face many a times when it meant the most. he came thru like many have done before. but when many doubted he could or would i am sure.

But unlike Dilfer he needed to make a final drive to win the biggest game ever in his career. And he delivered when I am sure many thought he would be a goat. Be he stepped up huge for the giants all playoffs as did all and did just what he was traded for.

I cannot fathom how this team won 11 straight road games. thats what is unreal. with the way the nfl home field is today and with the crowds and other factors truly amazing in many ways. i thought for sure it would end in G.B or Dallas but if any it would end today. but oh how wrong i was.

While I doubt the Giants will ever be mentioned with the greats. They did take down a team that would have been considered by many as the greatest ever. Hats off to the G-Men. great to see sometimes in sports no matter how good or great u think, many some say or u seem any team can still rise above what they may not be too others and steal the glory if just for one game. But most of all for the SUPER BOWL. WOW.

EXCELLENT TEAM EFFORT BY THE GIANTS. I SALUTE U. WHI8LE U MAY NOT BE THE GREATEST TO MOST. TODAY U ARE AND WILL BE FOREVER REMEBERED FOR WHAT THEY DID.

Curious to what others think.

I agree that it was an awesome game, but I was not too shocked about the upset. The Giants D (especially the line) had been excellent most of the year. They got to Brady and that kept the Giants in the game. The Manning-Tyree play was one of the best I've ever seen for sure.

I heard some analyst saying that Tiki Barber retiring and then the Jeremy Shockey injury were actually very beneficial to Eli being comfortable with being the leader on the offense. Results certainly would back that up.

yes i may be out of touch with how good the d was all year. but just for them tto shut this team down in a stadium that weather had no factor and usually when under those conditions this year the pats crushed all and they shut down the greatest scoring offense ever. i think they did what others may have done before. but not at this stage.

I have said all year they were beatable. I thought Colts could and would had they satyed healthy and gotten there. But never occured and I doubt with injuries and the beating they took from S.D. they would have. And my eyes were raised even more when S.D had a chance with a MASH unit on the field. But not by the giants. I didn't see it even though I wanted it to occur.

but we will all see this differently. but i see it as one of the greatest runs ever in playoff and s.b. history for this d.

I don't think it was as big an upset as many think. The Giants are a much better team than Vegas ever gave them credit for, win or lose tonight.

Oh i do too tubby but. With the circumstances and what the pats had at stake. Brady's past and experience they had as a team. Billicheck having 2 weeks to prepare and all. its was huge what they did. i think more than some realize.

I think the G-MEN played great as a team and rallied around ELI and the D and played great as a team but the d too me tonight made great plays and put them in the position for what occured. and just wanted it more than N.E. realized or thought they wanted it would seem. huge game by some we who may never have games like that again. just what i seen is all.

How Eli did not get sacked and how Tyree made that catch will haunt me forever. That was the best play in the history of football and the luckiest!

oh yeah don't get me wrong, the giants played awesome tonight, the defense pinnacled for the SB and it was a sight to behold..some pats fans might say tom had a bad night instead of admitting how well ny's D played. you're right about people savoring this game too, hell of a ball game and it should be savored, for sure.

oh i forgot to add..well greenn bay has the cheesehead...new york needs a 'football head' which would be a giants helmet with a football melded to the side..that would rock.

yea that was houdini effort with many other things he did late were nothing like he had shown or done before. it was great in many ways. the d stood out to me though. constant pressure by the line hit brady many times. forced him into many off target and rushed pass. but the corners played huge many times and made plays when needed most. it was like they knew all along they were gonna do it. awesome indeed.

Brady looked off to me all night. He seemed perhaps like he was actually hurting...never looked comfortable and seemed out of sorts. This apart from the pressure that was put on him...he just seemed un-Brady-like to me in watching him.

Great game.

Historically speaking, it is certain a mammoth upset. But the Jets were +18.5 in Super Bowl III, so that remains the benchmark for all-time upsets to me.

Amazing what you can do when you can get pressure on the QB.
