Record Employment?? based on what? We been short job growth need for last 7 years on a total bases. Thanks to China and Brazil we were able to make some money in market. And of course Bush.s war in Iraq took care of a up market for oil.
Market was how high in 99/00?
Low taxes that raised dept. Sooner or later you pay. Home values down 6/7 %? I guess we can say that's growth. Someone pays the bill? guess who?

These are the best of times. You can go into nearly any grocery store you like and buy an apple for a dollar, a potato or grapefruit for fifty cents, a bag of potato chips or a gallon of milk for five dollars. These low prices are only possible because George Bush and the wise men at the Fed keep inflation at 2%.

Roc, I swear, it wakes you up. You walk in and, if you're like me, you don't pay much attention to this stuff, but all of a sudden you see a big box of potatoes, and they're selling them individually. For 50c a pop. Then you think, last time I remember buying potatoes they were a couple dollars a bag. Same with apples. $2-3 a bag, now they're literally a dollar apiece, and not giant apples, just medium-sized apples. The government can say whatever it wants, but I believe my eyes. Food prices are through the roof, and 50% of the economy is dollar stores and loan-sharks.

Mahoney,
If you want organic produce and organic fruit s and veggies -forget it,you could go broke.I avoid eating meats and chicken that isnt at least all-natural due to the Hg hormones they feed these animals.
I remember when all fruits ,veggies , and meats were haelthy for you.thats not the case these days and the price for non- organic stuff is still overpriced

based on employment #'s and what are you basing the opposite on?

Which part of 2000 market do want--I assume before the dot com crash--correct?

Home values down 6 or 7 % --yep after they jumped 43% in 4 years. Let me see 43-7
Hello anybody home?
Take a look at this chart and tell me how bad homeowners have suffered--

Get off those liberal blogs and look at the facts and your attitude will improve immensely my friend.

When your short almost a million jobs last 7 years your short. Easy to say a record. Even if you make one more job then there was before it can be called a record. But does it mt total needs. Housing up 47% total bull. You could not sell your house for 40% or even 30 % more then 7 years ago. And we just stated going down late 06 we dropped 7% in just in 07. Estimates are for another dropped this year. There are so many unsold houses you can buy them at 30%
discounts. It's only thing along with autos that seems to be cheap. Everything else food, gas, health care. Up Up and away. Oh yes thanks to feds not giving states fair share state tax forced to go up.
