College 31-28 +0.3 units
Pro's 18-24 minus 25.3 units
5 unit plays 1-1 in college 1-0 in pro's

Last 15 years only had one losing year in the pro's this year losing my ass! Last week's 1-7 was my worst week ever. Hopefully will turn things around this week.

5 unit play Minnesota Vikings -7.5
The Lions have struggled versus teams that put up points as their offense lacks playmakers to keep up the scoring pace. Their weakness has been stopping the outside run and Detroit doesn't have the running backs to attack it. The Vikings have their backs to the wall and look for an all out effort from them today. Culpepper is turning into the best all around quarterback in football and I expect them to put up a lot of points this weekend. Game of need today and the Vikings have the superior talent.

4 unit play Denver -4.5 The Saints can't stop the run and the Bronco defense is one of the top defenses in the league. Last week the Saints were lucky that KC turn it over 4 times and had 12 penalties. Bronco's are a great team after a bye week under Shanahan.

3 units Buffalo +1 The Bills are a different team at home and the same goes for the Rams. Good road teams are able to run the ball. Don't see that happening today. Circle the wagons boys as the Bills win today.

3 units Cleveland Pick The Browns have played well at home this season. Jets are playing Quincy Carter on the road. Brownies are the play.

3 units Tennessee +3 Last week Jacksonvilles best offensive play was a quarterback scramble. Not impressed with either team and will gladly take the points.

3 units Pittsburgh -4 The worst game of football I have ever witnessed was the Bengals-Redskins last week as both of these teams were pitiful. Just can't see going against a hot team with Carson Palmer as the quarterback.

3 units San Diego -3.5 Norv Turner coaching the Raiders. Enough said.

3 units under Chicago Bears 45 The Bears have the best defense in the league unfortunately they have the worst offense. The quarterback has had a QB rating in the 40's in winning their last 3 games.

Good luck to everyone this weekend!

I'll take Detroit.....man did I say that, ouch. Well let's see Moss is out, playing in a dome which is good for Detroit and Minnies D is a mess, yea I'll take the Lions. Maybe to win outright?? Now that's a stretch, or is it?

Vikings

Vikings

Tice is 5-1 versus the Lions. Although Moss has been out the Vikings have still been able to score 56 points the last two weeks. The Lions are 26th in the league versus the run and gave up over 200 yards rushing last week and had problems with Gerrards running ability see a little of the same this week with Culpepper. As far as injuries the Lions offense has been without Rogers all year and will be probably be without Hakim this week. The Lions only rush for 75 yards a game. The problem with the Lions is lack of playmakers as Williams is the only one they have. The only 2 offensive teams they played all year Philadelphia and Green Bay both blew them out. Added into this equation is that this is the 4th road game in 5 weeks and they play on Thanksgiving Day. Last week their 2 scores came on Punt Returns as their defense was on the field all day. Add in that they also played an overtime game last week. A 5 unit play is not a guarantee, but over the last 2 years posting every play at Mad Jacks I am 7-2 on 5 unit plays. I could just post and not keep a record because I am doing poorly this season but I always take the good with the bad. I always like responses to my plays because sometimes others will come up with legitimate reasons for a play and I may go off the game or lower my wager. But if your going to give a reason I would hope that you would come up with something better than Detroit plays in a dome.
