Two wins and the Irish faithful are officially claiming the resurrection. Now while I agree Charlie Weis is a great coach and much to my dismay the future in South Bend looks bright, however I think the public is about to create much value in the upcoming weeks. Everybody and their Mom is sure that because they went into the Big House and won they are going to do the same to everybody else they play. I was in a Starbucks today, and while I was standing in line had to listen to two dumb asses discuss how Charlie Weis is going to lead Notre Dame to the NC THIS year. Just like I'm not sold on that Michigan defense, I'm not sold on Notre Dame. I know teams get ahead of the bookmaker, but thanks to the public frenzy and the fact almost every ND game is on TV, at some point the bookmakers will have to adjust the line too far. And while I realize that a Martingale is the quickest way to ruin in sports betting. I'm not very smart and going to Martigale ND's opponent every week for the next four weeks until I win. If they do cover against Mich State this weekend, they'll be laying alot of wood, and get everything a Washington team has. And if they do cover against Washington, they get to go into West Lafayette to play a very good Purdue team with USC on deck. I really think if I'm 0-2 at this point this spot will be extremely tough for Notre Dame. And if they do beat Purdue, I'll be 0-3, betting a small fortune and pretty sure I made a big mistake. So what better team to be backing than USC. And if Notre Dame covers the next three weeks, the Green and Gold Boners will be the size of giant Baby Arms, and every announcer on TV won't be able to announce because they'll be too busy sucking on them. USC will be a small favorite at best in South Bend if they cover the next 3, and then if Notre Dame beats USC, then I'll just go ahead admit I'm wrong and cry myself to sleep at night, not because I lost an ass load of money, but because I have to listen to the all the Notre Dame homers for the rest of the year.
