Lets face the facts the Packers are an overrated soft team that is held together by Sharron Rodgers and his receivers. Green Bay is not physical and their tackling is horrible. Look their defense sucks, don't care what the stats say. Run defense is below average and the opposing QBs they faced are brutal. Ponder twice, cutler twice, Skelton, Gabbert, Locker, Smith, did face Schaub, stafford twice, Eli, Luck and Wilson. Once they play a team who can play smash mouth they get hit in the mouth and that's this week. Sharron is their only hope luckily he's a good one, but the Niners will bring the contact not take it

If the Vikings were playing this weekend, I would be trying to think of reasons why they were going to lose, also. My main reason would be Ponder, but I'm sure I could come up with some desperation reasons like you have. Good luck with that.

But he's been a Queens fan since all of you bandwagon fans were cheering for the Cowboys and Steelers. So cut him some slack. You'd be bitter too if you were so loyal to such a historically shitty and loser franchise.

Packers are underdogs for a reason. It will take some bad calls in our favor and a super human effort to beat the home favored 49ers. I think we all agree on that.

Desperation excuses? I picked the Pack to win last week? San Fran has a much better resume and you are kidding yourself if you don't think the Niners are a more physical team. Rogers and the receivers are all the Pack has and it could be enough

I'm by no means chalking up a win for Green Bay, but I'm feeling fairly confident. Yes...I am a Packer fan so this may be biased.

They've quietly made strides the last couple weeks and are getting healthy. Woodson being back will give the Packers some added depth and experience.

They were a different team (and so was SF) when they met in week 1. Packers had a ton of rookies playing on defense and SF had Justin Smith and Alex Smith, both of which they probably won't have play on Saturday.

Green Bay could've ran up 40+ on Minnesota last week but didn't.

Sure they may be a finesse team, but they're establishing the run and seems to be working. Even if A-Rod has a bad game, he still keeps them in it. If he has a good game, they Pack should win.

Should be a great fight and I can't wait until Saturday!

BP...gotta tip the hat to Minnesota. They had a nice season and exceeded my expectations. I still don't like the Vikings, but I hated them with Culpepper/Moss/Hovan...this team is at least tolerable and AP is a freak and fun to watch.

I do agree they could of best the Vikes by 40, I don't like their running game against the Niners. I think the Pack are going to give up sacks and struggle to stop the running game. San Fran has best the passing teams this year in New Orleans and New England.
One can never knock a Pack team, as their fans never see a weakness

Good stuff man.

Nice to see an opinion with a level head from a fan.

Greenbay is peaking at the right time I believe....gl

As for Green Bay, I like that they are getting g healthier but beating Chico, Minny, Tennessee, Detroit, jax, St. Louis, texans, and Arizona is no big deal. When they played physical teams like Niners and Giants, they were knocked out!!

I also think the Pack are a terrible tackling team,, jmo

Been wrong before no doubt!!

Trust me...they have their flaws. Tackling has always been one, but I think they're improving. They never really wrap up, but just throw their body in the way.

Also, Rodgers eats the ball too. He doesn't throw picks often, but just sits with the ball and gets sacked. I wish he'd throw it away and not take the hits.

DuJuan Harris has been solid too. Reminds me of Starks during the Super Bowl run. Nothing exciting, but effective.

They will game plan for the Niners and make adjustments. They may start out slow, but they tend to score more points in the 2nd half after adjustments are made.

They looked to the short passing game against the tampa 2 v. Minny (just like what Bears play) and they took what they could get and just controlled game.

First game vs. SF they utilized Cobb when they realized they couldn't run and I think they'll do the same thing this time around.

Plus, Kaepernick's first playoff game and biggest game of career. Let's see if he's got what it takes! Usually you don't see QBs make a deep run in their first rodeo.

LMFAO@YOU....Your team couldn't get the job done so you have to hope anothe team does the dirty work cus your team blows....You can call him Sharon all you want but the fact is WE have the best QB on the planet and you hate that. You have the best RB BUT your awful QB offsets that....San Fran very well could win saturday. Will be a super game....Obviously i hope GB kicks ass but if it's not meant to be that's okay..I know my team will be back again next year and the year after that. Maybe Minny should win a title then they won't be so angry and feel the need to cut down GB every chance they get. I guess i would be angry as well if my team has never won anything important and my rival GB has many titles and a great QB for over 20 years straight. :0074

:mj07:

All I have to do is set em up and they will come in groves to knock em down.

Of coarse I hate the Packers have the best QB and haven't had to worry about a QB in 20 years. WTF am I suppose to like it? I hated em I the 80s too why they sucked. You guys can call me a hater all you want, you should look up my write ups all through the playoffs and Super Bowl when I consistently picked them to win and bet em every week and made a ton of $$$$ on them geez

How come neither of you came onto my thread last week when I Picked the Pack 27-10 last week? Was I hating then too. Gimme a break

Bleeding Purple is preaching truth in this thread. He is a truly objective observer of the game who bet against his own team last week. The blind Packers fans in this thread slay me. San Fran can score, they have the better run game, the better defense and they are at home. Green Bay's only advantage is Rodgers. Admittedly, he is one hell of an advantage, but he is only one man. Green Bay's offense isn't exactly lighting it up this season. Too many of their fans think it is still two years ago. Like BP said, you punch GB in the mouth and they fold faster than Superman on laundry day. San Fran will punch them hard and often.

OK...let's look at this SF team....

They've played Detroit, Minnesota, Jets, Cardinals 2x, Rams 2x, Buffalo, Miami, Chicago and New Orleans. Also throw in Giants, New England, Green Bay, and Seattle 2x if you want to count "good" opponents. That schedule looks pretty easy if you ask me...not much tougher than GB.

This might not be the Green Bay team of 2010 but I think they finished strong and have many of the same pieces of that Super Bowl team. I certainly could see them lose this weekend.

You can look at the physicalness of the game all you want, but they still have a QB with maybe 7 games of experience in the NFL under his belt. Granted I think he's the better QB for SF and has more upside, but look how those guys fare in the playoffs...most times it's not success right away.

Packers were still top 5 in PPG and Rodgers led league in passer rating and 2nd in TD passes. They can still bring it offensively.

I guess Sanchez made it to the NFC champ game with a "physical" team....

All I'm saying is this game will be different than week 1. Packers had starting rookies who now have experience and are stepping into their roles.
