VIKINGS REPORT: Virus hits staff, players
BY SEAN JENSEN
Pioneer Press
In the past week, a virus has infected six people, including four Vikings players, at Winter Park.
Linebacker Lemanski Hall missed practice Nov. 6, and he took a blood test and CT scan on his intestine. He didn't feel well for several days, until the day before the Vikings played the New York Giants.
"I thought it was food poisoning," he said. "My stomach was killing me."
Others have had similar symptoms. Defensive backs coach Chuck Knox Jr. was hospitalized Tuesday and returned during practice Wednesday. Linebacker Antonio Wilson missed practice Thursday.
"I feel a whole lot better," Wilson said after seeing Dr. Sheldon Burns, the team's medical consultant.
Seasonal assistant Jeff Otte got the virus Tuesday, and linebacker Jim Nelson also had symptoms.
There was a routine inspection last week at Winter Park, and the Minnesota Department of Health and Hennepin County Community Health Department investigated the breakout Thursday, hoping to determine whether the infection was passed person to person or through food.

Sounds like it was long enough ago so it shouldn't have an impact. I don't like seeing news like this since I think the Vikes are a very live home puppy.
