Tulane -19 over Army. Luv the Green Wave
Army is in trouble here.Their missing there best WR in Comeaux and 2 of there quickest defensive players are out in Washington and Hill. They are the only winless team in D-1 and now have won 4 games in the past 3 yrs under Berry.
Armys offense has come alive and Nevels will start his 2nd game of the yr.But the defense has given up 180 pts in the past 4 games.
In the "dome" the grass doesn't need any water. So the speed factor is in effect.Tulane has so much more speed everywhere.Esp. in the skill positions.
Moore is a big time threat both as a back and a reciever.Losman will put 5 WR's out on some plays.Army cannot match that speed out in the flanks.
Tulane scored 51 pts vs Navy and I see this as about the same today.
Tulane defense is ranked 3rd in the nation in takeaways. That is the key to this game.Armys punt and kicking units cannot tackle anyone. The entire cadet corp just close their eyes when the ball is airborne.Army will turn it over a few times and I see Tulane scoring at least 14 pts off that.
And Elpheage is one of the top return men in the nation. He will have over a 100 yds in returns. And problay will score.
Army has lost in the "dome" the past 2 times. In 97' 41-0 and 48-28 in 99'.Tulane has 8 Tds coming from special teams and defense. And with their new found defense Tulane has held six of its last 10 opponents to under 20 pts.
Add the fact the Armys 15 of 25 To's have led to 89 pts.And 11 of those To's have come in Armys own territory and led to 61 pts.
If a computer could add Tulane's and Armys takeaways and turnovers figures together the 19 pt line would cover that by itself.
Army is last in the nation in net punt yds,3rd worst in scoring defense and 15th worst in scoring offense.
Tulane will score 50 and maybe give up 20.With a possible bowl birth the Wave will pour it on.Luv the wave today.
I'll post this and comeback and do North Texas-New mex ST

"Miracle in the Desert"...Lyr's North Texas-New Mex St game

I'll get back to that. This line has jumped all over in the past 2 days. Was NT -7,then to 6 ,to 5.5,to 5 back to 7 and now at WWTS -6 but at 7 at other places.
Not sure how to read into all that.Maybe someone can explain it to me.

North Texas has one of the top defenses in the nation.Their schedule vs. the big boys Bama,Texas,OU,etc has really helped them. They didn't get hurt.Hall their Qb has been out since opening day.In last 4 Sun Belt conf games they have 2 shutouts and have given up 12 total pts.
But their offense is one of the worst. They avg 15 pts a game. They have 2 running backs in Cobb and Galbreath that carry the team. They beat 2-8 Idaho at home last week 10-0.But they did show some offense vs La-Monroe 2 weeks ago winning 41-2 and beat La-Laf 27-0.
New mex St comes in to Fouts field with memories of last yrs championship game. "The miracle in the desert".I'll get back to that.
Dombrowski is a red shirt fr Qb for the aggies. His stats are 1,000 yds in the air with 5 Tds and 740 yds on the ground and 9 tds.
This will be one of the top offenses the mean green has seen since its 'big boys's games".Aggies are 1st in rushing in the conf and 14th in the nation in rushing offense 231 yds.
Mean green defense will be tested. But I think NM St has just enough offense to score 10 -14 pts in this game.Mean green offense is so anemic but should be able to score about the same 10-14 pts.So I must take the +6 pts here and go against my alma mater.
This game is for the Sun belt conf title. The winner goes to Naw Leans" for a Bowl.NT is playing in Fouts Field. The last time NT played for a championship game at home was Nov.1973 vs Tulsa.Box was a junior at NT.My wife, then my girlfriend wanted to come to the game.I told her you can go but I'm sitting with my "boys".I'll never forget that. And off course we lost by 10 pts.Had one of those great dating fights."what more important,me or the game"?After 27 yrs of marriage she better not ask that question again.

Anyway,I think the Aggies cover the number here.If revenge was ever a reason to win the Aggies have it today.

Lyr's NT won at New Mex St 22-20 with no time on the clock.Aggies had the ball with just 2 minuts leading 20-15 and NT had no time outs. They could of run the clock out.But they didn't and NT recovered a fumble.NT's 2 minut drill didn't work.Halls 1st pass was thrown down the field and the Aggies intercepted.Game over.Nope.Sorry.flag.Roughing the passer.NT gets it back.Next pass incomplete. Then a false start,5 yd penalty. Then a sack.NT is going the wrong way.No time out,the clock is moving.[under a minut] It's 3rd an 20.Hall connects on a screen pass for 18 yds but Cobbs doesn't step out of bounds.Clock running down. It's 4th and 2 around the 30 yd line.
The play called out is "wide 50 fade".Maybe 20 seconds left.Hall throws the pass but everyone is in the wrong place. He see's Marshall at the 12 and throws a bullit at him.Aggie CB misses the tackle and NT scores .
It's new orleans and a bowl.
The game is referred to "the miracle in the desert".
But I'm sure every Aggie has been thinking of that game since. That loss cost them the title.
I think my boys win today 14-13.But I think New mex St covers the number. In the NT chat rooms everyone is talking about where on campus should they bring the goal posts.A word to the wise. You better wait for your planning NM St could win this outright.

Luv Tulane -19
New Mex St +6
Iowa -11 over Minny.really like this game
Illi +8.5 over Ohio St-they have been escaping. But today there in trouble.
Texas -6 over Tech-TT cannot stop the run.
So cal -15 over Zona St-Blowout city.Carson needs some bigger numbers for the Big H
Cal-over Zona just because of the "mutiny on the bounty"angle
And 2 first half plays- San Jose -5.5 over Tulsa and Ore St -6 over Stanford.

Way to many games.
Tulane big..GL Jonnyb-he is listed to start.Joseph played well in his place last week though
