GRIZZLIES/HEAT Under 175 - I just don?t see either of these teams generating much offense tonight. Miami is now 2nd to last in the NBA in scoring, averaging a measly 82.2 points per game. At the same time, they are ranked 6th defensively, allowing only 88.6 points per contest. Not surprisingly, the Under is now 12-7-1, 63.2% in all Miami games this season, including 8-3 in the last 11 games. The Grizzlies? point production tails off considerably on the road, where they average just 87.0 points per game, as opposed to 99.0 points at home. The fact that Jay Williams and Drew Gooden are both nicked up is also a detriment. The Under is also 8-3 in the last 11 head-to-head meetings between these two clubs, with an average total score in those games of just 174.2 points. Given each team?s current year form, I think they will be hard-pressed to get out of the 160s tonight!

I noticed...........

I noticed...........

this morning in reading that Shane Battier is out with a leg. That only lowers Hubie's bench strength and removes his 7' ppg average from the line up along with Williams 10' ppg.

If Gooden is nicked enough to affect his 14' ppg....then Gasol is going to have to be a scoring machine (against this Miami defense) for the over to hit tonight.

I just think I'll play along on this one. Thanks for the 'cappn effort Eugene. BTW....great logic shown in your thread today. ez
