Not sure the long term effects of this, but as we speak there is still no oil in Panama City which is within 400 miles of Deepwater horizon. We have been in the ocean the last few days with no oil in sight. If you ask me(which no one did) the biggest question is where is the oil that had dispersent sprayed into it? Many agencies walking the beaches, but as of now nothing has been found. Good luck to the emerald coast as it is indeed beautiful.

Not sure how Costner worked out, but I know two containment ships are currently burning 8K barrels of oil daily.
In next few days, a tighter fitting cap is going to be installed. Then, in mid August, the relief well operation will be completed and the leak will hopefully be closed for good.
