Need a little more info, children safety with guns is really not a political issue. Maybe 5 year olds shooting guns in Texas is OK, but I would bet most of the country would think that behavior is for Yahoos

Why would you kill turtles? Did you eat them? I was taught how to shoot a bibi gun probably when I was 9 or 10 years old. I wasn't allowed to have a gun until I was 13, and that was after I took a Hunter's safety coarse and still spent many hours with my dad shooting before I was allowed to hunt on my own. I never was much into deer hunting, but I loved my 120 gauge for bird hunting, but I outgrew hunting altogether.

Yes gun nuts are everywhere. My cousin who lives up north here works as a county deputy. He could of easily retired as he spent 30 years on the ships (He does it as a thrill seeking expedition plus he's an asshole)but his parent's invested heavily in the 60s and 70s. He lives in on a rural private lake.
We were walking in the woods on his rural property and when we got back in the house he pulled out 3 holstered guns, one on his hip, another from a strap around his back, and another on his ankle.
To each his own, I would love him to be around if I were being attacked by a gunman but to have that on his person in a very rural area with no one around is a little bit "batty" to me.
I do not hunt now, it bored me to tears, I need action :shrug: I had a bb gun when I was 5 I believe and I took a hunters safety course too when I was 12 or 13. I didn't hunt on my own til I was a teenager, deer hunting, good lord I was bored and froze my ass off too, I liked riding in the Jeep hunting and listening to football games instead :0074 I always enjoyed the gambling my dad did at the deer lease, poker games, betting on football, basketball and baseball instead...I played poker with grown men when I was 13, nickel, dime quarter, my dad always gave me 20 bucks to play...
