I went 0-3 2nd half tonight--tried to reason games and got toyed with ... last nite they all came in easily, tho Im sorry to say I didnt post ...

debating on whether or not to throw down in the 2nd half...my argument for taking Portland in the 2nd half is that they are a deep team and they have Sheed and Bonzi, both players that can explode and carry the Blazers. Also, the absence of Webber and Doug Christie will be big down the stretch, especially Christie who is a tough defender. My argument for not taking Portland is that they might be a little tired from back to back games. I didn't notice how many minutes their big men played last night. Right now, I'm liking Portland. I can't imagine them being anything else than a pick in the 2nd half.

I retract my last statement...they are -2.5 in the 2nd half. Total is set at 93.

I would take Portland as well, their FT were horrible the first half and Bonzi and Wallace will get their shots to fall in the 2nd.

Took over 93. Taking second half overs seems to be risky right now in the early going, but Port made just 2 FTs and neither team shot threes well. Port has gotta get some flow going, right now its just throw it to Sheed and pray.

Really like the idea of Portland deciding the half court game just isn't happening. Hoping Mo will light a fire under these guys. Despite the poor play, they could have easily went to the lockers down 8.


game...............................0-2 -5.5 units

for the night.....................0-5 -11.0 units

for the season..................5-11 -9.9 units

Portland allowed Lakers to come back in the third and fourth quarter. Of course they had a lead and they are chasin now.

I think Portland comes back in this one to make it close. Regarding the total no comment at all. Both teams are too unpredictable.

But then again we are talkin about Portland :shrug: :confused:
