First off, managers, when it gets to the point Ray Charles could see your pitcher doesn't have it why are you leaving him in to give up 6.....7......8..........9 fucking runs? You gotta be able to make the decision to pull the plug on a guy who's fastball isn't hitting 90 and his curveball isn't breaking. Seriously, why are you letting the game get out of control before going to the pen?
Second, relief pitchers, I know the manager is putting you in a bad spot because he waits too long to make the call and you inherit bases loaded, I get it, BUT STOP WALKING IN RUNS. You are a major league pitcher, THROW FUCKING STRIKES. It isn't that hard, this isn't the first year of kid pitch where we gotta walk 9 batters before the inning mercifully ends, it the MAJORS, stop walking batters with the bases loaded. K? Thanks!
Third, batters batting with someone on third and less than two outs. GET THE FUCKING RUNNER HOME. Stop trying to be the hero and just hit the sac fly and move on with the game. Those runs end up important later. As I type this the Astros (losing 1-0) just had the bases loaded with nobody out and didn't plate a run. Honest to fucking god if I managed that team everyone involved would be in the locker room cleaning their shit out. This isn't hard, just get the runner home you assholes.
All of the above I would call simple, basic stuff.....baseball 101 if you will, but it doesn't seem to be able to be executed with any skill whatsoever recently.
Figure it the fuck out, assholes.
